‘Volvo provides a free inspection service for electric vehicle customers to ensure safe operation.’

On the 12th, Volvo Cars Korea announced that it would conduct the ‘Volvo EV Safety Care Service’ for Volvo electric vehicle customers without any time restrictions.

Following the government’s safety guidelines for electric vehicles, Volvo Cars Korea has been providing the ‘Volvo EV Safety Care Service’ since the 19th of last month. Volvo Cars Korea aims to alleviate customer concerns and allows customers to operate their electric vehicles with peace of mind by implementing this free inspection service without time limitations.

The free inspection targets Volvo’s pure electric vehicle models, the C40 Recharge and the XC40 Recharge. The inspection items include a total of 16 items related to electric vehicle safety, including high-voltage battery cell voltage deviations, state of charge (SoC) deviations, temperature deviations, cooling system checks, thermal management system checks, cable damage and connection checks, underbody impact damage checks, and verification of the latest software updates.

The Volvo EV Safety Care Service is available at 39 official Volvo service centers across the country. Customers can check the location of official Volvo service centers through the ‘Hey Volvo’ app, the official Volvo website, and the ‘Service by Volvo’ KakaoTalk channel. For more detailed information, customers can contact the official Volvo service center or customer support center (1588-1777).

Song Kyung-ran, Executive Director of Customer Service at Volvo Cars Korea, stated, “To alleviate the anxiety of electric vehicle customers and create an environment where they can confidently operate their electric vehicles, we have decided to conduct free inspections without time restrictions. Volvo Cars Korea will continue to strive to provide the best products and services to our customers in line with government guidelines.”

Meanwhile, Volvo Cars Korea provides a 5-year or 10,000 km free warranty service to ensure customers can own their vehicles without worries for a long time, alongside an 8-year or 160,000 km warranty for high-voltage batteries. Additionally, they operate a ‘lifetime parts warranty program’ that offers lifetime guarantees on original parts replaced at official service centers for paid services.
