The Volkswagen Tiguan, Volkswagen Korea’s best-selling SUV, has surpassed 70,000 cumulative sales in South Korea.

Since its initial launch in South Korea in 2008, the Tiguan has maintained consistent popularity, recording 70,220 total sales by July of this year. The Tiguan is the only model among imported SUVs in South Korea that has surpassed the 70,000 sales milestone.

The Tiguan represents Volkswagen Korea’s ‘Accessible Premium’ strategy and has topped the KAIDA (Korea Automobile Importers & Distributors Association) monthly best-selling model list 22 times since its launch. In 2020, it recorded an annual sales volume of more than 10,000 units, leading the imported SUV market.

The Tiguan’s status as a long-standing bestseller in the imported SUV market can be attributed to its excellent product value, which satisfies performance, practicality, and economy, as well as a diverse lineup that meets various customer needs.

Boasting robust driving performance crafted from German engineering, the Tiguan is equipped with advanced safety and convenience features such as ‘IQ.Drive – Travel Assist’ and ‘IQ.Light – LED Matrix Headlamps’, making it a highly regarded model. Additionally, with high fuel efficiency and reduced maintenance costs along with the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), it offers exceptional competitiveness, leading to increased owner satisfaction. The ‘5-Year/150,000 km Warranty Extension Program’ and the ‘Accident Repair Total Care Service’ which supports the deductible for insured repairs in authorized service centers up to 5 times (within the first year, no mileage limit, capped at 500,000 won per incident) are provided.
