Lamborghini has unveiled the limited edition Urus Performante, a super SUV with only 40 units being made worldwide, exclusively for customers of the track-only hypercar ‘Essenza SCV12’.

The limited edition Urus Performante was crafted by Lamborghini’s Ad Personam department, which oversees customer customization programs, maximizing sportiness based on the design features of the Essenza SCV12 and race-inspired details.

The most notable characteristic of this vehicle is the extensive use of carbon fiber elements to reflect customer choices. Carbon fiber, in matte or glossy finishes, is employed throughout the vehicle, including the engine hood, roof, rocker covers, mirrors, and the Lamborghini logo frame between the rear lamp clusters.

Each model is custom-made in the Ad Personam style, allowing for color combinations tailored to customer preferences. The painting work for each vehicle is exclusively performed at Lamborghini’s in-house paint shop. The two-tone colors, born from the fusion of the body and prominent carbon fiber elements, feature a black lower section, and a contrasting color line on the roof arch enhances the car’s silhouette.

The body color and the accent color, which is called Librari, are customized for each customer. The special number engraved on the door reflects the design of their Essenza SCV12. Each model comes standard with 23-inch high-gloss black wheels and calipers, but customers are free to choose the type and color of their wheels and calipers.

Mitja Borkert, head of design at Lamborghini, stated, “The Lamborghini Urus Performante limited edition is one of the most expressive products we have ever created. We designed it to reflect the wishes of each of the 40 customers of the Lamborghini Essenza SCV12.”

The lower section of this limited edition model is painted black, adding to its sporty appearance. The exterior colors connect with a color pinstripe graphic linking the front, sides, and rear, corresponding to the dedicated colors of the Essenza SCV12. Each limited edition enhances its uniqueness through distinctive color combinations.

The vehicle’s interior features black Nero Cosmos leather detailing, with options for glossy or matte finishes on the carbon fiber accents. Additionally, the cabin decor is finished with black anodized aluminum, while a dark package highlights contrasting red door handles. Carbon fiber accents can also be found on the passenger side of the dashboard and the kick plate engraved with the Essenza SCV12 logo and silhouette. A commemorative carbon fiber plaque, engraved with the Lamborghini 60th anniversary logo and the vehicle number or customer name, can be found on the passenger side.

The Urus Performante is the most sporty and high-performing model in Lamborghini’s super SUV lineup. Thanks to its twin-turbo V8 engine, which delivers 666 CV and 850 Nm of peak torque, optimal weight-to-power ratio, and refined aerodynamics, the Urus Performante accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds and achieves a top speed of 306 km/h. With these features, the Urus Performante has set a new production SUV record at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, crossing the finish line at an altitude of 4302 m in 10 minutes 32 seconds and 0.64 seconds, breaking the previous record by more than 17 seconds.

Meanwhile, the Essenza SCV12, unveiled in July 2020, was designed exclusively for the track, featuring engineering solutions derived from racing. The engine, equipped with a Naturally Aspirated V12 engine used in the Aventador, can deliver over 830 CV, partially contributing to dynamic supercharging at high speeds. This power is handled by a horizontally placed rear axle combined with a 6-speed load-bearing gearbox, ensuring structural continuity and torsional rigidity. Thanks to the next-generation carbon fiber monocoque chassis combined with FIA safety standards, it boasts a weight-to-power ratio of 1.66 kg/CV.
