‘Jeep Gladiator Heritage Edition’

Jeep® is introducing three limited models of the ‘Gladiator Heritage Edition,’ reflecting its long history as a military vehicle, which is a key part of the brand’s identity, with just 30 units available in Korea.

The Gladiator Heritage Edition is the second military series developed due to the popularity of the ‘Gladiator Army Star Package’ launched in May, which sold out quickly. It features three unique decal designs inspired by the U.S. Army, Navy, and Air Force.

Jeep’s history began with the production of military vehicles during World War II; thus, it is not an exaggeration to say that Jeep’s heritage is synonymous with ‘the military’ itself. Recognizing this significance, Jeep has provided special benefits to national award recipients during June’s Veterans Month and has consistently shown respect for military spirit, such as launching the ‘Jeep x Marathon’ wristwatch collection in collaboration with the military watch brand Marathon.

This Gladiator Heritage Edition offers a variety of decal designs representing not only the Army but also the Navy and Air Force, providing consumers with more choices. Notably, these Army, Navy, and Air Force decals are a result of collaboration with Korean designer Yoon Gi-seok, who is responsible for exterior design at Jeep Korea and Stellantis IAP (India Asia Pacific). The unique designs are so significant that they are currently in the process of trademark application in Korea.

The Army Pack, themed after the U.S. Army, and the Navy Pack, themed after the Navy, are based on the black-colored Gladiator Rubicon model. The Air Force Pack, which features Air Force-themed decals, is based on the Hydro Blue color, with symbols from each branch of the military artistically reinterpreted by Jeep applied to the hood, side doors, and the rear truck bed. Each decal design also incorporates Jeep’s signature design language known as ‘Easter eggs,’ ensuring that no small detail is overlooked.

Adding to the value of the Heritage Edition, a total of 3 types of Jeep’s genuine accessories and goods worth around 3 million KRW are included, common to all three models of the Heritage Edition. The accessories consist of an auto power side step, a satin black grille, a ‘MOLLE (Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment) bag’ set for installation, and grab handles for all seats. Additionally, three military-themed goods, including a Jeep Gladiator tumbler, a Jeep military mess kit with engraving service, and a military ID tag (dog tag), are also provided.

The Gladiator Rubicon, which serves as the base for this edition, is a pickup model built on Jeep’s rich heritage, featuring unparalleled 4×4 performance. It combines a 3.6-liter Pentastar® V6 gasoline engine with an 8-speed automatic transmission, delivering a power output of up to 284 horsepower and a maximum torque of 36 kg·m, along with the spacious cargo area typical of pickup trucks (1,005L).

The price for the three models of the Gladiator Heritage Edition, designed for Jeep enthusiasts who revere Jeep’s history and heritage, is set to be the same as the existing Gladiator Rubicon at 79,900,000 KRW.

Bang Sil, CEO of Stellantis Korea, stated, “Jeep is a brand that has established its identity by fiercely navigating the battlefield alongside soldiers. This Gladiator Heritage Edition is a modern reinterpretation of the brand’s rich heritage, which bridges its past and present. We hope this can be a meaningful gift for those who understand the brand’s history and wish to share its values.”
