‘RS6 Avant GT’

Audi AG has unveiled the ‘The New RS 6 Avant GT’, a special edition of the top-tier model in the RS 6 Avant lineup.

Released as a special edition, ‘The New Audi RS 6 Avant GT’ showcases its elite status with impressive features including a through-type roof edge spoiler, a newly designed diffuser, and distinctive 22-inch wheels. Its luxurious interior includes bucket seats with a fresh color combination and a serial number embossed on the center console, along with a unique adjustable lightweight coilover suspension and a new quattro sport differential on the rear axle, enhancing the driving experience.

‘The New RS 6 Avant GT’ is powered by a V-shaped twin-turbo V8 engine, delivering 630 horsepower and 850 Nm of torque between 2,300 to 4,500 rpm. This marks an increase of 30 horsepower and 50 Nm of torque over the basic RS 6 Avant model, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds, which is 0.3 seconds faster than the standard RS 6 Avant. It reaches 200 km/h in 11.5 seconds, 0.5 seconds quicker than the RS 6 Avant, with a top speed of 305 km/h. The fuel economy is rated at 12.7 – 12.2 l/100 km (WLTP), with combined CO2 emissions of 289 – 277 g/km (WLTP). The output of the 4.0 TFSI engine is transmitted through a standard 8-speed Tiptronic transmission, optimally handling the power with quattro all-wheel drive.

Like the RS 6 Avant, ‘The New Audi RS 6 Avant GT’ features the latest locking center differential. This lightweight and compact differential distributes engine output between the front and rear axles in a ratio of 40:60. When the vehicle skids, improved traction allows more driving torque to be applied to the axles, with up to 70 percent of torque sent to the front axle and up to 85 percent to the rear axle. This enhanced center differential optimizes driving dynamics, significantly improving cornering accuracy while minimizing understeer.

To differentiate itself from other RS models, the ‘The New Audi RS 6 Avant GT’ comes with a specially calibrated quattro sport differential for the rear axle. Drivers can enjoy a sportier and precision-driven neutral handling experience through a new dynamic driving mode which permits more agile rear-bias driving. Unique to ‘The New Audi RS 6 Avant GT’, the ride height is 10mm lower compared to the standard RS 6, providing a perfect balance between dynamism and comfort through adjustable coilover suspension standards. Additionally, higher resilience springs and three-stage adjustable dampers, with 30% increased stiffness in the front and 80% in the rear, reduce body roll and enhance driving enjoyment.

‘The New Audi RS 6 Avant GT’ is rooted in the RS 6 GTO concept. The striking front end clearly reveals that RS 6 GTO is the source of inspiration. This impressive exterior further distinguishes ‘The New Audi RS 6 Avant GT’ from the competing models RS 6 Avant and RS 6 Avant performance version.

The overall body of the car appears lower and wider, thanks to the high-gloss black finish on the single frame and air intakes. The vertical blades on the front apron, the new intake grill, and the robust front splitter integrated into the bumper further accentuate the sleek appearance. Moreover, the completely redesigned hood—an Audi Sport GmbH first—features carbon fiber that impressively complements the body and grabs attention. Air vents located behind the large 22-inch wheels reduce pressure in the wheel arches, improving brake cooling performance. The fenders, which hug the large wheels, are also made of front carbon fiber for the first time, similar to the hood.

The most prominent feature of the side design is the insert in the side skirts, the gloss carbon-made outer mirror covers, and the specially designed 6-spoke 22-inch wheels exclusively for the RS 6 Avant GT. The rear showcases black ‘RS 6 GT’ lettering, a tailgate specially designed to appear visually lower, a functional diffuser with vertical center reflectors enhancing the wide appearance of the body, and a unique double wing inspired by motorsport. Notably, the double wing is the first in the history of the RS 6 Avant to do away with roof rails for a flatter and sportier silhouette.

The RS 6 Avant GT comes standard with the RS Design Package Plus. The black-toned interior features red and copper hues, decorating the steering wheel, console side, central and door armrest stitches, along with ‘RS 6 GT’ letterings embossed on the floor mats. The new RS bucket seats in leather-Dinamica combination also carry the same color with the ‘RS 6 GT’ wording just below the headrest. The honeycomb stitching in the center of the seat sparkles in expressive red, while the stitching on the outside of the bucket seats shines copper.

The armrest, dashboard, center console and its sides, as well as the door waist rail are finished in black Dinamica microfibre, while the decorative inlay is covered with deep black Dinamica microfibre. An open-pore carbon twill structure is also available for the decorative inlay. Eye-catching crimson red seat belts and a serial number for the limited edition of 660 models on the center console highlight the interior.

The RS 6 Avant GT offers optional special decals in two color options. The first option features an Arcona white finish combined with Audi Sport’s traditional colors of black, gray, and red. The model badges at the front and rear also reflect these traditional colors, with uniquely designed wheels offered in high-gloss white. The other option showcases decals in black and gray tones, with the body available in Nardo Gray or Mythos Black. This option includes high-gloss black or matte black wheels harmoniously complementing the exterior, Audi’s iconic four rings on the single frame, black model lettering on the tailgate anew. Color options for exterior finishes can be picked from Arcona White, Nardo Gray, Chronos Gray Metallic, Madeira Brown Metallic, or Mythos Black Metallic.

The Audi RS 6 Avant GT is set to launch in the second quarter of 2024, with prices starting at €219,355.
