The last model of the Lotus Elise S1, the 340R, has appeared at the Lotus Gangnam showroom.
Lotus Cars Korea announced on the 21st that the Lotus 340R will be exhibited at the Lotus showroom. The 340R model is the final version of the Elise S1, which was unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1995. It later made an appearance at the Birmingham Motor Show in October 1998. True to its name, only 340 units of the 340R were produced.
Measuring at 3,610 x 1,655 x 1,123 mm, it is powered by a 1.8-liter Rover engine with a 4-cylinder configuration delivering 179 horsepower and a maximum torque of 17.5 kg.m, mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The car can reach a top speed of 214 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds. Its curb weight is only 700 kg.
Lotus Cars Korea mentioned that the 340R model will be on display until February 8, prior to the Lunar New Year holidays, and will potentially be followed by displays of other classic Lotus models depending on the situation.
