T-Money’s Tagris payment service, which has achieved the prestigious award for technology for the second consecutive year internationally, is expanding its services following a partnership agreement in Daejeon after Incheon in February.

On the 17th, T-Money announced that it has signed the ‘Daejeon Urban Railroad Tagris System Service Partnership Agreement’ with Daejeon Metropolitan Transit Corporation and Hana Bank.

With this collaboration, T-Money is planning to expand its Tagris payment services after officially launching the service last September on the Ui-Shinseong Light Rail (excluding Bomun Station), and also after signing a contract with Incheon Transportation Corporation in February to establish Tagris gates at all 62 Incheon stations managed by Incheon Transportation Corporation (30 stations on Line 1, 27 stations on Line 2, and 5 stations on the Incheon section of Line 7). Currently operational Tagris gates are at Jangjeon Station and Juan Station on Line 1.

Additionally, through this agreement with Daejeon Metropolitan Transit Corporation and Hana Bank, a pilot service will be conducted at two locations, including Yongmun Station and Yuseong Oncheon Station. T-Money, Daejeon Metropolitan Transit Corporation, and Hana Bank will work actively together to establish a cooperative framework for the organic service linkage of T-Money Tagris payments, promoting the activation of the Tagris payment service in Daejeon Urban Railroad, and exploring new services for enhancing the Tagris payment in Daejeon Urban Railroad.

T-Money CEO Kim Tae-geuk stated, “The launch of T-Money Tagris payments in Daejeon symbolizes the change towards a next-generation payment system,” and expressed commitment to working closely with Daejeon Metropolitan Transit Corporation and Hana Bank to provide Daejeon citizens with more convenient travel and greater benefits.

Meanwhile, T-Money has grown into a leading company in the industry since its establishment, operating under its corporate mission of providing a smart mobility and payment service to create a more convenient world. It strengthens its position as a top-level service provider in the mobility and easy payment sector, leading the fourth industrial revolution.
