Supernal, the urban air mobility (UAM) subsidiary of the Hyundai Motor Group, will make its debut at CES 2024 in Las Vegas early next year.

On the 20th, Supernal unveiled teaser images of its new UAM aircraft that will be publicly displayed for the first time at CES 2024, mentioning that it will present its vision for building a future Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) ecosystem.

The AAM strategy presentation by Supernal is expected to cover aspects of aircraft operations and the role of vertiports, which serve as airports for UAM, detailing the contributions the company and Hyundai Motor Group aim to make within the AAM ecosystem.

Additionally, Supernal plans to reveal the design of its UAM aircraft, which is currently under development with a goal for commercialization by 2028, and will showcase a full-scale model of the aircraft.

The design and styling of the aircraft to be unveiled at CES 2024 are the results of close collaboration between Supernal and the Hyundai Motor-Kia Global Design Headquarters.

All engineering and integrated aircraft design have been overseen by Supernal, while the interior and exterior styling was led by Luc Donckerwolke, Chief Creative Officer of Hyundai Motor-Kia, through the Global Design Headquarters.

During the exhibition period from January 9 to 12, Supernal will set up a separate exhibition area outside the Las Vegas Convention Center, designed to evoke a vertiport, allowing visitors to experience what it’s like to use UAM in reality.

The announcement of Supernal’s AAM ecosystem strategy and the unveiling of the new UAM aircraft design will take place on January 9 (local time) at the “Supernal CES Media Day event” held at Supernal’s exhibit.
