Renault Korea Automotive has supplied 67 QM6 SUVs to the national police mobile forces and the Criminal Investigation Division.

The QM6 has received positive evaluations from field police workers for its excellent space utilization and convenience, noise levels, as well as the fundamental quality and safety needed for police vehicles, making it suitable for various operational uses.

The QM6 excels in space utilization for a wide range of police tasks. Although it is a mid-size SUV, it offers interior space that rivals larger vehicles. The wheelbase of the QM6 measures 2,705 mm, providing 289 mm of legroom in the second row—the most spacious in its class. When the second-row seats are folded flat, the trunk space expands to a maximum of 2,000 liters, allowing for personnel transport and the addition of various police equipment.

For mobile forces and investigative police officers who spend extensive hours driving and waiting, comfort and quietness are paramount. The QM6 is designed to minimize outside noise by employing acoustic windscreen glass and enhancing the thickness and materials of sound-absorbing materials. This has significantly reduced noise intrusion into the interior. The dashboard insulator in the engine room absorbs sound efficiently, further minimizing noise levels. Additionally, a metal sound chain has been used to suppress noise that was previously generated.

Kim Tae-jun, head of sales and marketing at Renault Korea Automotive, stated, “The QM6’s delivery following thorough inspections and bidding by the police agency reaffirms the excellence of the QM6, which has become a bestseller for its quietness and convenience for ordinary customers. We hope to provide value to police officers who work hard in their demanding jobs with the QM6.”
