Mercedes-Benz Korea unveiled the all-electric ‘Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV’, the first pure electric SUV from the Maybach brand, along with the show car ‘Vision AMG’ that embodies Mercedes-AMG’s vision for high-performance electric driving, at the All-Electric Showcase and Press Conference held at the Shilla Hotel in Seoul on the 24th.
The newly revealed ‘Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 SUV’ is the first all-electric vehicle from Maybach, combining unparalleled luxury and excellent pure electric vehicle technology.
It features a timeless luxurious exterior design and a comfortable interior space completed with delicate craftsmanship, along with powerful electric performance boasting a maximum output of 484 kW and a maximum torque of 950 Nm. Additionally, it comes equipped with Maybach’s driving program for an advanced driving experience, executive seats for maximum comfort, and a chauffeur package, delivering an unparalleled and comfortable driving environment.
The ‘Vision AMG’, an electric show car showing the future of Mercedes-AMG’s pure electric cars, is the brand’s first pure electric model developed entirely from the platform to design and drivetrain technology. The four-door coupe, based on the AMG.EA platform, features dramatic body proportions enhanced by a long wheelbase, short overhangs, strong shoulders, large wheels, a distinctive rear spoiler, and star-shaped headlights, combined with the unique feelings of AMG and F1. It also showcases Yamaha’s axial flux motor and Mercedes-AMG’s innovative electric driving technologies with high-performance batteries.
Following this first unveiling, the Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 SUV and Vision AMG will be displayed at the ‘EQ Wonderland’, an electric vehicle theme park hosted at KINTEX in Ilsan from the 25th to the 27th, offering the best viewing experience to visitors.
EQ Wonderland provides an opportunity to experience and test drive all pure electric vehicles currently available in the South Korean market, as well as special experiences and events related to electric cars, all at one place for a unique weekend outing experience.

The Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV combines Maybach’s unique luxury with the excellent technology of the EQS SUV, making it a model anticipated to redefine the essence of luxury in the era of electric mobility.
The Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV was born under the belief that “what is good must also be beautiful”. As a result, the design unique to Mercedes-Maybach harmonizes perfectly with the EQ family look, boasting an identity as a top-tier luxury model along with the presence of an SUV.
The front features a black panel radiator grille displaying the EQ family look, with a chrome trim strip arrayed vertically to emphasize a three-dimensional depth. There are also signature design elements such as the Maybach brand emblem and lettering delicately engraved throughout the vehicle, showcasing the luxury unique to Maybach.
The interior of the Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV also emphasizes craftsmanship and modern sophistication. In the front, the innovative MBUX Hyperscreen integrates three displays into one, providing passengers with a higher level of digital experience.
Upon entering the vehicle, a specially designed welcome screen for the Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV appears on the display to greet passengers, while the driver’s instrument panel allows for the separate setting of Maybach mode.
The Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV comes standard with Maybach Exclusive Napa Leather seats, completing a sensory and luxurious interior, and more refined interiors can be achieved by opting for Maybach Manufaktur Exclusive Napa Leather.
Additionally, for the first time in a Mercedes-Benz model, environmentally friendly vegetable-tanned leather is used for seat covers and interior finishing materials. The tanning agent for the leather uses coffee bean husks, and all materials used in emulsifying processes are based on plant ingredients.
Meanwhile, stainless steel pedal systems, headrest cushions, front seatbacks, and rear seat areas featuring the Maybach emblem emphasize exceptional luxury and premium quality.
The meticulously chosen materials, fine craftsmanship reflected in the detailed design elements, and high-quality convenience features create a feeling akin to the finest lounge in the rear seat of the Maybach EQS SUV, satisfying all senses of the passengers.
The rear seats of the Maybach EQS SUV come standard with executive seats that include ventilation, massage, and heater functions for the neck and shoulders, similar to the front seats. The chauffeur package, which includes calf massage features, allows relaxation and comfort even during drives. Additionally, selecting the reclining function for the rear seat automatically moves the front passenger seat forward, allowing for an even more spacious interior.
Moreover, the MBUX high-end rear seat entertainment system, composed of two 11.6-inch full HD touchscreens and a 7-inch MBUX rear seat tablet, allows rear seat passengers to directly operate the vehicle’s entertainment features. Connecting mobile phones or laptops via Bluetooth or HDMI provides access to a wider variety of content. Furthermore, the MBUX Interior Assistant is standard equipment, enabling intuitive and intelligent vehicle control through simple gestures.
The AirMATIC air suspension equipped in the Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV utilizes a sophisticated adaptive damping system that controls each wheel individually according to driving mode, speed, and load, raising the vehicle’s height by up to 35 mm depending on the driving speed.
This feature ensures stable driving and a comfortable ride under various road conditions. The rear axle steering, with a maximum steering angle of 4.5°, is also standard, enabling agile vehicle maneuverability, which can be expanded to 10° as an option for those desiring sharper handling.
Additionally, the Dynamic Select feature includes driving modes such as ECO, SPORT, OFFROAD, and INDIVIDUAL, allowing for adjustments to the motor, ESP®, suspension, and steering characteristics based on the selected driving mode.
The Maybach driving program is included as standard in the Maybach EQS SUV. This program replaces the conventional comfort mode, maximizing the comfort of rear-seat passengers to provide the pinnacle of ride quality that Maybach is known for.
The Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV features an air purification package that includes a large HEPA filter for effectively purifying the cabin air, along with Dolby Atmos technology and a Burmester 4D surround sound system with 15 speakers that elevate the in-car audio experience to a new level. It also comes with a specially designed electric vehicle driving sound named Aerial Grace for the Maybach EQS SUV, and an air balance package that provides sensory fragrances tailored to passengers’ preferences, offering a differentiated sensory experience suitable for a luxury electric SUV.
The air balance package provides a specially tuned No.12 mood ebony scent that amplifies a unique and dramatic atmosphere.
