This is not just a minor product change; it’s a full-generation upgrade. Introducing the ‘All-New EV6’.

Kia unveiled the ‘All-New EV6’ at Kia 360 in Apgujeong-dong, Gangnam, Seoul, on the 13th. The EV6, launched in 2021 as Kia’s first dedicated electric vehicle, has been a core model in Kia’s electric lineup. Last year, the EV6 sold 212,343 units globally and 17,227 units in Korea, leading the domestic electric vehicle market. Now, just three years after its release, the EV6 has been upgraded to the ‘All-New EV6’.

The front has undergone a significant transformation. It adopts Kia’s new family look, the ‘Starmap Signature Lighting’, giving it a strong and bold impression. The rear features a wider Starmap lighting along the straight rear combination lamp, emphasizing a future-oriented design.

Measuring 4,695 × 1,880 × 1,550mm, it is slightly longer than the previous model (4,680 × 1,880 × 1,550mm). The sloped roofline from the A-pillar to the C-pillar highlights the EV6’s dynamism.

The interior features a fresh design based on horizontal shaping. The panoramic curved display applied to the EV6 provides a clean yet dynamic feel. The new ambient lighting with dynamic graphics emphasizes the horizontal design of the interior.

A stylish new steering wheel and crash pad with a new pattern enhance the sporty feel. Additionally, the center console now includes a fingerprint authentication system and a fixed wireless charging pad for smartphones, improving convenience for customers.

The All-New EV6 is equipped with a denser 4th generation battery. According to battery performance standards (long-range 2WD, without built-in cam, on 19-inch wheels), the maximum distance on a single charge has increased from 475km to 494km. With a 350KW ultra-fast charger, it takes just 18 minutes to charge the battery from 10% to 80%.

For the 2WD model, the EV6 delivers a maximum output of 228 horsepower and a peak torque of 35.7 kg.m, while the 4WD model boasts 325 horsepower and 61.7 kg.m torque.

The EV6 is loaded with a range of software-based convenience features. The ccNc (connected car Navigation cockpit) is equipped to alleviate boredom during long trips with audio or video streaming. It also supports wireless software updates.

Moreover, it features wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto, walk-away locking, e-highway pass, and Kia’s Digital Key 2. The driving assistance systems include steering wheel grip detection, lane keeping assist 2, remote smart parking assist 2, and front, side, and rear parking collision avoidance 2, significantly enhancing driver convenience.

Safety has also been improved. Kia has reinforced the body rigidity by increasing the thickness of the B-pillar on the All-New EV6. Additionally, a side airbag for the second row has been added, bringing the total to 10 airbags to ensure occupant safety.

The sales prices remain the same as the previous model (before tax benefits, based on 2WD long range): Lite 55.4 million won, Air 58.24 million won, Earth 62.52 million won, and GT-Line 63.15 million won.

Han Yong-jun, Head of Domestic Product Management at Kia, emphasized, “While adding various convenience features, prices remain unchanged, resulting in a price reduction effect of several hundred thousand won. We expect this new EV6 to boost the stagnant electric vehicle sales.”
