Lotus Electra used as a Dubai Police vehicle

Lotus has provided the Dubai Police Department with the pure electric hyper SUV, the Electra R. The new Electra R will be utilized for patrol purposes, conveying a message of sustainability that Dubai is striving for, and will be responsible for ensuring the safety of citizens and tourists with its overwhelming performance.

The Dubai Police are also famous among car enthusiasts. They own a variety of special patrol cars, including Bugatti, Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Aston Martin. With the addition of Lotus’s support, the Dubai Police now boasts one of the world’s fastest and most powerful pure electric SUVs.

The Lotus Electra R features a dual motor all-wheel-drive system, delivering a staggering 918 horsepower and a peak torque of 100.4kg·m. It accelerates from a standstill to 100km/h in just 2.95 seconds, allowing for perfect response in urgent situations. Additionally, with 350kW fast charging, it can recharge the battery from 10% to 80% in just 20 minutes, enabling quick handling of various situations.

The Electra R, specifically tailored to meet the Dubai Police’s guidelines, is painted in the unique green livery of the Dubai Police. Officially commencing patrol duties with the handover ceremony, the Electra R will be responsible for the safety of citizens and travelers at key tourist spots in Dubai, including the Burj Khalifa, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Road, and Jumeirah Beach Residence.
