Lamborghini achieved record-breaking figures in the first half of 2024, with all-time highs in deliveries, revenue, and operating profit. This success was driven by the strong performance of their entire lineup, including the Revuelto, Urus, and Huracán, produced in Sant’Agata Bolognese, Italy. The company delivered a total of 5,558 units, generating sales of 1.621 billion euros (approximately 2.43 trillion won), and operating profit increased by 14.1% compared to the same period in 2023, reaching 458 million euros (about 690 billion won). The profitability rate stood at 28.2%, indicating the successful balance of customer demand, production, delivery volumes, and financial strategy.
By continent, Lamborghini delivered 2,498 units in EMEA (Europe, the Middle East, and Africa), 1,849 in the Americas, and 1,211 in the Asia-Pacific region, continuing a balanced supply. In terms of individual countries, the United States led with 1,621 units, followed by Germany (595 units), the United Kingdom (514 units), Japan (354 units), China, Hong Kong, and Macau (337 units), Italy (268 units), and Korea, which ranked 8th with 195 units according to KAIDA standards.
The Revuelto, Lamborghini’s first V12 plug-in hybrid supercar (PHEV) launched last year, has secured a two-year contract volume, establishing a solid foundation for the brand’s ongoing growth. For the V10 super sports car Huracán, the entire production volume has already been ordered ahead of its anticipated discontinuation in December of this year. The ‘Urus SE’, which was first unveiled at the Volkswagen Group Media Night in late April in Beijing, has also received a warm response from customers, with approximately one year’s worth of contracted volume already secured.
These achievements reflect Lamborghini’s commitment to continuous carbon neutrality, proving the success of the electrification roadmap ‘Direzione Cor Tauri,’ announced in 2021. On August 16, at the Monterey Car Week, Lamborghini will unveil the successor model to the Huracán, codenamed Lamborghini 634, at the same venue where the ‘Lanzador’, the brand’s first fully electric concept model, was showcased last year. The Lamborghini 634 will complete Lamborghini’s hybridization process as a new HPEV (High-Performance Electrified Vehicle) super sports car, featuring a completely redesigned V8 twin-turbo engine combined with three electric motors, delivering a remarkable 800 horsepower (CV) and maximum torque of 74.44 kg·m.
Stephan Winkelmann, CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, stated, “I am very proud of the achievements in the first half of 2024. We are undergoing a pivotal phase with the largest scale of investment in the company’s history, aiming primarily at expanding our product lineup. This process requires significant resources and efforts, but I believe it is essential for Automobili Lamborghini to sustain and lead innovation and growth in the luxury super sports car segment.”
Paolo Poma, CFO of Automobili Lamborghini, expressed, “I am pleased to confirm once again that Automobili Lamborghini’s growth has been reaffirmed in the first half of 2024. The positive trends and high volume of orders reflect Lamborghini’s confidence, allowing us to observe growth in financial and business indicators as a major global luxury and super sports brand, even as we transition to hybrids.”
