Kumho Tire will supply tires to the official service centers of Jeep and Peugeot under Stellantis Korea nationwide.
Stellantis Korea is a global automotive company formed by the merger of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) and Groupe PSA in January 2021. It currently oversees 14 global automotive brands, including Jeep, Peugeot, and Maserati. The Jeep and Peugeot service centers have established 33 service points across the country, aiming to provide unified and high-quality services to all customers who own Stellantis brand vehicles.
The tires supplied to the Jeep and Peugeot service centers are premium products for PCR (passenger car) and SUVs, allowing customers to conveniently switch to Kumho Tire’s premium tires when it’s time for a replacement. In particular, the Kumho Tire Crugen HP71 product is a high-performance premium comfort tire for SUVs, enhancing smooth driving performance and quietness. This product utilizes differentiated premium materials and next-generation compounds, increasing wear performance and snow capabilities by over 20% compared to existing products. Additionally, the wide groove design improves drainage on wet roads, enhancing handling stability and braking performance, thus improving braking power on rainy surfaces.
Im Byung-seok, Senior Vice President of Kumho Tire, stated, “The tire agreement with Stellantis Korea is a recognition of the quality and technological prowess of Kumho Tire products, and based on this supply opportunity, we plan to strengthen our position in the domestic market.”
Meanwhile, Kumho Tire has launched the world’s first electric vehicle-exclusive tire brand, ‘EnnoV,’ applying HLC technology across all specifications for a single product this month. Through EnnoV, Kumho aims to change the paradigm of the existing EV market and lead innovation in the electric vehicle sector based on next-generation mobility technologies, thereby enhancing its status as a performance brand.
