KBI Dongkuk Industries announced on the 8th that it has donated items worth 130 million won to the Beautiful Store Foundation.
During the donation ceremony held at KBI Dongkuk Industries’ Shin-Asan Plant at 10 AM today, KBI Dongkuk’s CEO Park Chi-hyun and Representative Director Kim Yong-hee welcomed the Beautiful Store’s Executive Director Jang Yun-gyeong, Western Regional Manager Kang Sang-hoon, and Chungcheong Headquarters Director Jo Joo-hyung, delivering over 12,000 items including clothing, miscellaneous goods, books, and electronics to the Beautiful Store Foundation for environmental recycling.
The Beautiful Store estimated that the resource recycling activities from this donation could result in the carbon absorption equivalent to about 209 pine trees absorbing carbon dioxide throughout the year or that it would prevent the use of 262,256 paper cups, showcasing significant carbon reduction benefits.
A representative from KBI Dongkuk Industries stated, “This is not just a one-time donation event; we plan to engage in continuous ESG activities considering the local community and environment,” adding, “We will discuss collaboration with subsidiaries in the KBI Group to plan various social contribution activities.”
