Kakao Mobility has enhanced its taxi reservation features by introducing “Personalized Driver Selection” for general users and a “Business VIP Service” for corporate clients. This allows users to choose and book taxi services based on their travel purpose and circumstances.

In line with the era of personalized services, Kakao Mobility will implement customized features that allow users to pre-book necessary taxi services according to their individual travel needs. This advancement in reservation service functionalities is expected to increase user convenience while also securing new demand for drivers.

First, the “Personalized Driver Selection” feature lets passengers choose a taxi based on their travel purpose or previous usage history, available from the Kakao T Black, Venti, and Pet services starting from the 19th.

Users can select taxis specialized for airport transfers or for drivers who can speak English based on the number of passengers and travel purpose.

It is also possible to rebook taxis that provided a positive service experience. A taxi can be selected only if it has been used in the last year or if the user has saved a QR code business card for the driver’s details within the Kakao T app.

This initiative not only helps secure additional demand for taxi drivers, but it is also expected to create a virtuous cycle where high customer satisfaction leads to the repeated use of these taxi services, thus contributing to improved taxi service quality. The driver cards will contain information such as the vehicle number and type, which will be produced and distributed for use in drivers’ business activities.

The “Personalized Driver Selection” feature can be accessed through the Kakao T app by selecting the “Taxi” or “Taxi Reservation” icon, entering departure and arrival locations, clicking on “Venti” or “Black” reservation, and selecting the personalized driver option.

For the Kakao T Pet service, users can simply select the “Pet” icon on the home screen of the Kakao T app. The fee for using the “Personalized Driver Selection” service is 1,000 KRW, and it will be temporarily offered for free during the initial launch.

A reservation service for corporate clients called “Business VIP Service” is also available. Until now, companies have faced challenges in providing meticulous transportation services for executives and external guests, particularly in securing multiple vehicles simultaneously.

To address this, an array of transport services tailored to corporate clients’ needs, such as VIP care for corporate events, foreign guest airport arrivals and departures, commuting for corporate executives, and bulk reservations for conferences, have been introduced. Skilled VIP care service from professional drivers, as well as the option for foreign language services including English and Japanese with welcome signs for guests at airports, is also available.

The “Business VIP Service” can be utilized with the premium taxi services Kakao T Black and Venti, and can be booked by selecting the “Event/VIPs” icon in the business tab of the Kakao T app and requesting a reservation consultation. This service is exclusively offered to Kakao T business member companies.
