Kakao’s location-based lifestyle platform, Kakao Map, announced on the 1st that it is introducing a ‘Place Details’ service.
The ‘Place Details’ feature on Kakao Map offers detailed information about specific locations. Users can click on a desired location or search for it within the app to access detailed information such as address, phone number, and user reviews.
The aim of this update is to enhance user convenience and usability. When a location is clicked, essential details like reservations, delivery services, business hours, and more can now be viewed all at once. Additionally, the visibility of transportation-related location information content, such as parking lots, gas stations, train stations, and subway stations, has been improved.
Frequent features used by users have also been improved. Essential buttons containing information on reservations, delivery options, favorites, calling, and route guidance are now more easily accessible, and larger location images have improved readability.
The store management features facilitating operations for store owners have also been updated. Users with accounts linked to store management can easily add or modify store information on Kakao Map, while various business functions, including reservation settings and chat channels, can also be conveniently connected.
This update is available with Kakao Map version 5.18.0 or higher.
Seo Joon, leader of Kakao’s Local Map, stated, “We revamped the Place Details service to help Kakao Map users find the location information they need in their daily lives more easily and quickly. In the future, we plan to continuously pursue the advancement of various services within Kakao Map to expand its role as a location-based lifestyle platform.”
