Jeep officially unveils the brand’s first all-electric SUV, the ‘Avenger,’ to the Korean market, becoming the first in Asia.

Targeting the rapidly shifting Korean market toward electrification, Jeep aims to convey its vision and commitment towards ‘Zero Emission Freedom,’ while also rewarding the high interest of domestic customers in its first all-electric vehicle. From the 28th to March 14, a special exhibition of the Avenger will be held at seven dedicated Jeep showrooms nationwide.

The Avenger is the first pure electric SUV from the Jeep brand and was revealed as the first model in the all-electric SUV lineup announced during Stellantis’s long-term strategic presentation, ‘Dare Forward 2030’, last March. Following its world premiere at the ‘2022 Paris Motor Show,’ it has garnered significant attention owing to its unique and competitive design, clean and sturdy interior, and excellent driving range.

Having surpassed 10,000 pre-orders in just a month in the European market, the Avenger has successfully positioned itself as the first Jeep model to be selected as the ‘2023 European Car of the Year,’ becoming the most recognized Jeep model in Europe. It is also expected to be sequentially launched in key strategic markets such as Korea and Japan. (The domestic launch schedule is yet to be determined.)

To allow domestic customers to examine the Avenger up close, Jeep is conducting a ‘Avenger Domestic Tour’ that will travel through seven dedicated Jeep dealerships. Starting on the 28th and March 1st at the Guri Jeep showroom, the tour will continue to Uijeongbu (March 2-3), Cheongdam (March 4-5), Suwon (March 6-7), Daegu (March 8-9), Busan (March 10-11), and Gangseo (March 12-14).

During this period, visitors to the showrooms will have the opportunity to meet the Jeep Avenger, which is being unveiled for the first time in Asia, and enjoy the entertainment programs and catering provided at each showroom.

Various programs at each showroom, including off-road experiences in urban settings using an off-road module, will expand opportunities for customer engagement.

Jake Aumann, CEO of Stellantis Korea, mentioned, “We are thrilled to present the Avenger, which is currently receiving the most attention and anticipation, to our Korean customers following its recognition as the 2023 European Car of the Year. I hope that we can soon see the Avenger on Korean roads as well,”
