Porsche Korea officially launched the new Cayenne (3rd generation facelift) on the 17th, featuring the most extensive upgrades in the brand’s history, making it more luxurious and powerful. The three models introduced in the country are the Cayenne, Cayenne Coupe, and Cayenne Turbo GT, set to be delivered to customers starting from September.

The new Cayenne positions itself as the sportiest model in its segment, equipped with a powerful engine, refreshed design, highly digitized displays and operational system, new chassis technology, and innovative advanced features.

Hoga Geerman, CEO of Porsche Korea, stated, “The Porsche Cayenne is a style icon in the luxury SUV segment and symbolizes Porsche’s ongoing innovation. Although it is a facelift model, we expect positive responses from Porsche fans and customers regarding the completely revamped Cayenne, given the substantial investments made.”

The new Cayenne with a 3.0-liter V6 turbo engine produces a maximum output of 360 horsepower and a peak torque of 51kg·m. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6 seconds for the Cayenne and in 5.7 seconds for the Cayenne Coupe, both reaching a top speed of 248 km/h.

The top model in the Cayenne portfolio, the Cayenne Turbo GT, maximizes on-road performance. Available only as a coupe, it incorporates all the innovative and optimized features of the Cayenne. Equipped with a 4.0-liter V8 bi-turbo engine, it offers an astonishing 673 horsepower and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds, achieving a top speed of 305 km/h.

Porsche has integrated a completely redesigned display and operational system in the new Cayenne. The ‘Porsche Driver Experience’ applied in the new Cayenne for the first time provides an optimized mode of operation focusing on the driver, through a perfect balance of digital and analog elements.

Frequently used functions are placed around the steering wheel, and a feature for activating the driver assistance system has been added to the left lever behind the steering wheel. The automatic transmission selector lever is located on the dashboard, providing an elegant black panel design for the air conditioning controller and a larger center console space for storage.

Both the driver and passenger can experience a completely redesigned cockpit in the new Cayenne. New interactive elements combine to offer a fresh driving experience. The driver’s seat is equipped with a first-ever independent design complete with adjustable display options in a 12.6-inch full digital instrument cluster. An optimized head-up display is available as an optional specification.

The integrated standard 12.3-inch central Porsche Communication Management on the dashboard enables control of various vehicle functions while optimizing connectivity with apps like Spotify and Apple Music.

The passenger seat offers a 10.9-inch display for the first time in the Cayenne, providing performance data display, infotainment system control, and video content streaming features as optional specifications. A special film is applied to prevent visibility of the passenger display from the driver’s seat, ensuring no distraction while driving.

Furthermore, the new Cayenne boasts an aggressive appearance highlighted by sophisticated design and innovative lighting technology. The vehicle’s width is emphasized with a new front end combined with a more robust arched wing, a redesigned bonnet, and technologically enhanced headlights. The rear end design enhances the three-dimensional taillights and clean surfaces, completed with a license plate holder on the new rear apron.

The new Cayenne allows for a more dynamic personalization with an expanded color palette that includes three new colors, a lightweight sports package for the Cayenne Coupe that can reduce weight by up to 33kg, and an expanded wheel range of 20, 21, and 22 inches.

The new Cayenne comes equipped with a steel spring suspension, which includes Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) as standard. The new shock absorbers, utilizing a two-valve technology, separate rebound and compression stages, delivering optimal performance in all driving conditions. Notably, ride quality at low speeds, dynamic cornering handling, and roll/pitch control have been significantly improved.

Featuring a two-chamber, two-valve technology, the new adaptive air suspension enhances the driving experience. The smoother suspension stabilizes the vehicle, making handling both on and off-road effortless. The adaptive air suspension improves driving precision and performance, reducing body movement in dynamic driving situations. The suspension clearly differentiates between Normal, Sport, and Sport Plus driving modes.

Matrix LED headlights are included as standard, and an upgraded high-resolution HD matrix LED headlight is offered as an optional specification. This innovative technology features two high-definition modules with over 32,000 pixels per headlamp, identifying oncoming drivers and blocking high beam light pixel by pixel to reduce glare.

Porsche has implemented a new air purification system in the new Cayenne. The system detects indoor and outdoor air quality, allowing users to check quantified data on the monitor while automatically activating the air recirculation feature. Additionally, newly optimized and extensive assistance systems can be utilized. These include an active speed limiter, lane change assistance, and cornering assistance.

The sales prices for the new Cayenne, Cayenne Coupe, and Cayenne Turbo GT are 133.1 million KRW, 137.8 million KRW, and 261.9 million KRW including VAT, respectively.

Meanwhile, the Porsche Cayenne, a best-selling model introduced in 2002 with total sales exceeding 1 million units, has recorded cumulative sales of 25,000 units in the Korean market as of July this year, highlighting its value in the country.

Additionally, Porsche Korea will hold a pop-up exhibition celebrating the launch of the new Cayenne until the 27th at Respas Etna Cheongdam in Gangnam, Seoul. The exhibition, themed ‘The Art of Living,’ will provide a lifestyle experience space inspired by the refined luxury design and powerful performance of the new Cayenne. The new Cayenne models will be displayed in a specially designed villa concept space styled as a salon and garden.
