Volkswagen Korea unveils the “Touareg R-Line Black Edition,” a limited-run model with an alluring black charisma that elevates the flagship SUV Touareg.
The Touareg R-Line Black Edition is a special limited edition based on the top-tier Touareg R-Line, enhanced by black accents on key design points to amplify the Touareg’s inherent presence and charisma.
This black edition incorporates changes in the exterior design, shifting from chrome, silver, or body color selections to a striking black finish on several details of the conventional Touareg R-Line.
With the grill line, lower front bumper line, side mirror housing, roof rails, and side window decorative trim all presented in black, the vehicle exhibits an imposing presence.
The body color available is the deep and rich ‘Grenadilla Black Metallic’, complemented by R-Line specific front radiator grill badge and side emblem, dark red LED rear combination lamps, and 21-inch Suzuka black alloy wheels, finalizing the charismatic monochrome design of this black edition.
Inside, the R-Line logo is featured on the steering wheel, and the Varenna leather seats incorporate a carbon pattern that highlights the sporty essence typical of R-Line. With 30-color mood ambient lighting, the Touareg R-Line Black Edition not only presents a unique charisma but also excels in premium SUV craftsmanship that lives up to its flagship name.
Equipped with the intelligent interactive lighting system ‘IQ.Light-LED matrix headlamps’, advanced driver assistance features such as ‘Travel Assist, adaptive cruise control’, and safety systems including ‘front collision warning and emergency braking front assist’, ‘front and rear cross-traffic assist’, ‘lane-keeping lane assist’, ‘side assist’, and ‘proactive occupant protection system Pre Crash 360º’, this model is loaded with innovative driver assistance and safety technologies.
Adjustable ride height and suspension, featured in the ‘air suspension’ system, ensures optimal ride comfort, while the ‘all-wheel steering system’ enhances agility and stability by steering both the front and rear wheels. The ‘driving profile selection’ offers seven driving modes optimized for on-road and off-road conditions, ensuring top-notch driving performance in any environment.
Under the hood, the Touareg R-Line Black Edition is equipped with the innovative ‘TwinDos’ technology system featuring two SCR catalysts, housing the ‘EA897 evo3 V6 3.0 TDI’ engine. With an all-wheel drive system combined with an 8-speed automatic transmission, it delivers a powerful output of 286 horsepower and a peak torque of 61.2 kg.m. The certified fuel efficiency stands at a combined 10.8 km/l, 9.6 km/l in the urban environment, and 12.8 km/l on the highway.
Limited to just 50 units, the Touareg R-Line Black Edition is priced at 100,590,000 KRW (including VAT) and can be purchased from 97,428,000 KRW with promotional offers (8% discount applicable through VWFS).
