MAN Truck & Bus Korea announced that Peter Andersen will take office as the new CEO effective April 1st.
Following the previous CEO, Thomas Hemmerich, Peter Andersen will not only oversee the Korean subsidiary but also manage the Australasia cluster consisting of 13 countries, including Australia and Southeast Asia.
Peter Andersen is a veteran with about 27 years of experience in the commercial vehicle industry, having held key positions across various fields such as production, network, finance, sales and marketing, and service in Europe, Africa, and Asia. He also served as the CEO of MAN Truck & Bus Russia for four years from 2016.
Having worked in various countries, Peter Andersen is known for implementing customer strategies tailored to each market, and it’s expected that he will pursue meticulous customer-focused strategies in the highly individualistic Korean market.
Under the leadership of the new CEO Peter Andersen, MAN Truck will enhance customer satisfaction throughout the entire purchasing process—from product consultation to after-sales service—based on increased sales and customer satisfaction achieved in 2023. The company aims to focus on maximizing truck uptime as a ‘strong business partner’ for its customers.
To improve driver comfort and total cost of ownership management, the company plans to accelerate market penetration by releasing special editions like the Individual Lion S and offering Carefree programs in terms of service.
