Hyundai Mobis is participating in the Beijing International Motor Show, the largest automotive exhibition in China, to accelerate its market penetration. After achieving record overseas orders last year, Hyundai Mobis plans to explore new business opportunities in China by focusing on its high-value core products that have gained global recognition.

Hyundai Mobis announced on the 18th that it will participate in ‘Auto China 2024,’ which will be held in Beijing from the 25th to the 4th of next month. After participating in the Shanghai Motor Show last year, Hyundai Mobis aims to boost its local sales efforts by showcasing at the Beijing Motor Show. The exhibition space will primarily operate as a ‘private booth’ for pre-invited clients to concentrate on business dealings with its clients.

At this motor show, Hyundai Mobis plans to engage in proactive sales activities targeting various global OEMs operating in China. Over 80 pre-invited companies and approximately 470 attendees will be represented. Notable client companies include BYD, Geely, Volkswagen, and Stellantis.

Hyundai Mobis will discuss collaborative business opportunities focusing on high-value core products in the future vehicle sector with representatives from these client companies. A total of 14 types of core technologies that are ready for mass production will be showcased to OEM clients at the motor show. These include the swivel (variable) display and transparent display, as well as augmented reality head-up display (AR HUD), independent rear steering system, and next-generation active noise cancellation technology (ARNC) among prominent technologies. Hyundai Mobis plans to emphasize technological differentiation with local parts manufacturers in the rapidly growing Chinese automotive market by presenting next-generation, high-spec, high-value core products.

The exhibition has been strategically arranged next to the OEM exhibit area in an outdoor space, rather than the parts exhibition hall, to expand touchpoints with clients and engage in aggressive sales activities. By securing exhibition booths and individual meeting spaces adjacent to local and global OEMs, Hyundai Mobis aims to strengthen its network with both existing and potential clients.

Meanwhile, Hyundai Mobis has been operating a dedicated organization for its business in China, continuously streamlining its operations locally. To expand its customer network in the closed Chinese automotive market and reinforce strategic order activities, Hyundai Mobis is focusing its capabilities on product planning specialized for the local market, development, and all aspects leading to mass production after receiving orders.
