The Genesis GV60 has risen to the top spot in the fiercely competitive Chinese automotive market.

At the ‘2024 China Car of the Year Awards’, the luxury compact electric SUV ‘GV60’ has been named ‘2024 Chinese SUV of the Year’.

The China Car of the Year is one of the most prestigious awards in the Chinese automotive industry, co-sponsored by editors of major automotive magazines in China, and the evaluation process involves over 40 automotive journalists serving as judges.

In the race for the 2024 Chinese SUV of the Year, more than 80 models competed, among which the Genesis GV60, Lotus Eletre, and Geely Galaxy L7 were finalists. Ultimately, the GV60 emerged victorious, surpassing its competitors. (GV60 scored 186 points, Eletre 121 points, Galaxy L7 103 points)

Wells Lee, head of Genesis Motor China, expressed, “We are pleased that the GV60’s luxurious design and outstanding performance have been recognized in the Chinese market,” adding, “This award will strengthen the Genesis brand’s presence in China, and we will strive to provide luxury electrification experiences to our customers.”

The GV60 showcases a luxurious and emotional design reflecting Genesis brand’s ‘Athletic Elegance’ design concept, boasting a CLTC standard driving range of 645 km on a single charge and a powerful output of 360 kW.

Furthermore, it is equipped with a 400V/800V multi-rapid charging system, allowing the battery to be charged from 10% to 80% within 18 minutes during ultra-fast charging. Its latest features include electronic limited-slip differential (e-LSD), V2L (Vehicle to Load), and Digital Key 2.

Since its launch in 2021, the GV60 has received various accolades, including ▲2023 German Premium Car of the Year ▲2022 Red Dot Product Design Award ▲IIHS Top Safety Pick Plus (TSP+), demonstrating excellence in all areas such as product quality, design, and safety worldwide.
