Ferrari became the first in the history of the prestigious Red Dot Awards to win the highest honors in two categories. The Ferrari Purosangue and the Ferrari Vision Gran Turismo each received the ‘Best of Best’ award in the Product Design and Innovative Product categories, respectively.

Established in 1955, the Red Dot Award is one of the most important and prestigious design awards in industrial design, honoring excellence and innovation in design from the world’s top designers. This year’s ceremony will take place on June 19 in Essen, Germany.

Since 2015, Ferrari has won a total of 26 Red Dot Awards, a record that no other automotive manufacturer has achieved in the 69-year history of the Red Dot Awards.

Ferrari has consecutively achieved the most prestigious ‘Best of Best’ title for nine years straight. Following FXX-K, 488 GTB, J50, Portofino, Monza SP1, SF90 Stradale, and Ferrari Daytona SP3, this year the Ferrari Purosangue and Ferrari Vision Gran Turismo have been selected for their captivating designs.

This award once again proves the value and excellence of the Ferrari Styling Center, led by Flavio Manzoni. The Ferrari Styling Center not only evolves Ferrari vehicles to the next level but also ingeniously crafts advanced solutions that enhance the aesthetic and functional symbiosis, which are fundamental elements of Ferrari DNA, without compromising them.

The Ferrari Purosangue is a model that opens a new segment for Ferrari. Equipped with a modern architecture, it boasts a high level of comfort while providing the performance and driving thrill that is inherent to Ferrari, showcasing versatility for a wider range of uses.

The name ‘Purosangue’ (Thoroughbred) aptly describes the vehicle’s architecture.

Breaking away from the traditional styling of a 4-door 4-seater vehicle, its sleek and sporty exterior harmonizes with a luxurious interior that offers exceptional space and comfort. The Purosangue is not only a fast and agile car but also Ferrari’s first vehicle that ensures comfort for all four passengers.

The Ferrari Vision Gran Turismo, while emphasizing speed, takes sharp, angular geometric lines as the starting point for its design, simultaneously highlighting organic curved surfaces.

By combining these contrasting elements, a distinctive vehicle has emerged that possesses a recognizably unique form, generating a disruptive effect. Central to the architecture of this vehicle is an aerodynamic solution, based on Ferrari’s patented side channels, which directs airflow entering through the front underside of the vehicle towards the cabin and over the large side pods.
