Michelin Korea successfully concluded the ‘2023 Michelin Track Day & Riding School Season 1’ at the Taebaek Speed Way circuit in Gangwon Province. Over the two days on the 13th and 14th, more than 140 Michelin motorcycle tire users gathered from across the country to engage in specialized motorcycle training and enjoy diverse track activities.

The ‘2023 Michelin Track Day & Riding School Season 1’ featured a ‘Riding School’ aimed at beginners to learn the basics, as well as a ‘Track Day’ for participants to relish the joys of circuit riding.

On the first day, the ‘Riding School’ invited professional motorcycle racers Jo Hang-dae and Jeon Young-jae as instructors for 28 users. They conducted specialized riding lessons covering braking (trail braking), gear shifts, cornering techniques, understanding steering, and U-turns. After the training, participants completed adaptation training to the circuit through three practice sessions.

On the second day, the 14th, the Track Day saw participation from 110 seasoned Michelin motorcycle tire users in the quarter-liter and 600cc categories. All participants completed safety and product education before enjoying group circuit riding. During the Track Day, a ‘Michelin Sports Day’ was also held, allowing participants and their companions to engage and have fun together.

Additionally, participants received explanations about Michelin’s representative sports tire lineup, the ‘Michelin Power’ family, which includes high-performance tires like the ‘Michelin Power Slick 2’, ‘Michelin Power Cup 2’, ‘Michelin Power GP’, and ‘Michelin Power 5’.

Jung Young-geun, Motorcycle Sales and Marketing Manager at Michelin Korea, remarked, “It was a wonderful opportunity for Michelin tire users to come together and fully enjoy circuit riding while experiencing the performance and appeal of Michelin tires firsthand on a beautiful spring day. I hope our event provided a festive atmosphere, encouraging users to share information regularly and enjoy their time.”
