From October 20 to 23, BMW Korea will deploy over 100 luxury-class 7 Series vehicles to provide premium transportation services for the ‘BMW Ladies Championship 2022’, the only LPGA tournament in Korea, held at Oak Valley C.C. in Gangwon Province.

The premium transportation service supported by the BMW Ladies Championship will be tailored to the movements of players and caddies, covering accommodations, the tournament venue, parking lots, and more, ensuring that athletes can maintain efficient condition management and optimal performance through safe and comfortable transport support.

For the first time in domestic golf tournaments, a dedicated application based on big data has been developed to offer spectators a new golf experience. The official app, designed to be user-friendly for spectators, integrates a self-ticketing system replacing paper tickets with digital formats, real-time player location tracking using GPS, grouping results, leaderboards, and other essential tournament information.

Furthermore, the convenience for spectators has been enhanced with features allowing them to check shuttle bus congestion and order food and beverages contactlessly. Attendees can board shuttles according to the confirmed arrival times provided by the app, significantly reducing wait times for getting to and from the tournament venue.

Additionally, a mobile MD store has been established within the app for one-stop shopping services allowing product searches, payments, and pickups all in one place. Spectators can conveniently purchase tournament-exclusive merchandise and various golf supplies, with features supporting contactless food and beverage orders, notification of pickup, and easy access to F&B booths set up at the spectator plaza and key course areas.

There are also plans to give out generous gifts through spectator events via the app. Throughout the tournament, audiences will have the opportunity to participate in events such as ‘Guess the Winner,’ ‘Predict the Lowest Score,’ and ‘BLC Tour’ missions, which involve taking photos of major checkpoints around the venue.

A representative from BMW Korea stated, “Providing over 100 luxury-class 7 Series vehicles for the tournament is a unique athlete care service that only a premium automotive brand like BMW can offer. We are committed to supporting players so they can maintain optimal performance and deliver the true joy of golf to all fans.”
