The luxurious electric large SUV, the Mercedes EQS SUV, has passed domestic certification.

Two models of the EQS SUV have received certification. The EQS 450 4MATIC has a driving range of 459 km on a single charge, while the EQS 580 4MATIC is certified for 447 km. That’s enough to drive non-stop from Seoul to Busan without additional charging.

Mercedes-Benz Korea plans to launch the EQS SUV in the first half of next year, pushing for greater carbon neutrality in line with the Ambition 2039 strategy.

The EQS SUV is a luxury model at the pinnacle of Mercedes-Benz’s electric vehicle brand, the Mercedes-EQ lineup, created on a dedicated architecture for electric vehicles. It can achieve a WLTP range of 600 km and boasts a powerful performance with a maximum output of 400 kW (543 horsepower).

The EQS SUV features an off-road driving mode, which allows for a height increase of 25mm when driving off-road. Additionally, it includes Mercedes’ Driving Assistance Plus system and augmented reality navigation, reducing fatigue for long-distance drivers. The EQS SUV supports rapid charging up to 200 KWh and can travel up to 300 km after just 15 minutes of fast charging.
