Kia has launched the ‘All-New K5’.

The K5 introduced by Kia is an enhancement of the third-generation K5 which hit the market in 2019, featuring futuristic and dynamic design along with a variety of advanced specifications, enhancing its overall appeal.

Kia held a ‘K5 Photo Media Day’ event at Nudite Seoul Forest (located in Seongdong-gu, Seoul) on November 1, presenting the K5 design and marketing alongside a pop-up exhibition linked to a large installation art piece.

At the event, Johan Pace, executive director of Kia’s Next Design Division, stated, “The K5 represents a brand of Kia design. The design of the K5, reflecting Kia’s vision for the future, will transform the mobility experience for our customers.”

The design of the K5 reflects Kia’s ‘Opposite United’ and its ‘Innovative Attempts Towards the Future’, inheriting the authenticity and dynamism of the previous K5 while evolving in an even more innovative manner.

Kia has enhanced the front end with ‘Star Map Signature Lighting’ daytime running lights (DRL), creating a powerful and futuristic feel, and applied the Star Map Lighting rear combination lamp to emphasize width and three-dimensionality, completing an intense and impactful exterior design.

The interior of the K5 has been neatly organized with horizontal elements incorporating advanced technologies such as the next-generation infotainment system ‘ccNC’ and ‘Infotainment/Climate Control Interface’ with a ‘Panoramic Curved Display’.

Kia has improved the driving performance and comfort by optimizing the front and rear suspension characteristics and materials, reinforced the body and windshield bonding material, and optimized the front and rear members to reduce road noise. Moreover, the application of dual-glazed soundproof glass in the rear seats enhances quietness, offering a better driving experience to customers.

Additionally, Kia has introduced ‘Over-the-Air (OTA) Software Updates’ and ‘Streaming Plus’ for the infotainment system in the K5, allowing customers to enjoy video and audio content.

Furthermore, Kia has enhanced the K5’s marketability by equipping high-demand features such as ▲ Kia Digital Key 2 ▲ Built-in Cam 2 ▲ e hi-pass ▲ Fingerprint Authentication System ▲ Power Safety Trunk ▲ Vibration Warning Steering Wheel ▲ Air Conditioning After Blow ▲ 6:4 Folding Rear Seats ▲ Side Parking Distance Warning ▲ Rear Parking Collision Avoidance Assist.

Kia has optimized the K5 trims based on customer preferences, discontinuing the basic Trendy trim and retaining three: Prestige, Noble, and Signature.

The prices for each K5 trim are as follows: ▲ 2.0 Gasoline Prestige 27,840,000 KRW, Noble 31,350,000 KRW, Signature 34,470,000 KRW ▲ 1.6 Gasoline Turbo Prestige 28,680,000 KRW, Noble 32,590,000 KRW, Signature 35,260,000 KRW ▲ 2.0 Gasoline Hybrid Prestige 33,260,000 KRW, Noble 36,620,000 KRW, Signature 39,540,000 KRW ▲ 2.0 LPi Prestige 28,530,000 KRW, Noble 32,140,000 KRW, Signature 34,620,000 KRW. Kia plans to announce the prices reflecting the environmental-friendly vehicle tax benefits for the K5 hybrid model once its certification is completed.

A Kia representative stated, “The K5 has established itself as a sedan symbolizing intensity, sophistication, and innovation through continuous evolution,” adding, “The K5 will transform moments of everyday life into moments of inspiration for customers.”

Meanwhile, Kia has prepared a variety of customer events alongside the launch of the K5.

Kia has been conveying the design and philosophy of the K5 to customers through a TV advertisement featuring the slogan ‘K5 Generation’ since October 27, capturing powerful style, heart-racing movement, and relentless innovation.

Moreover, from November 2 (Thursday) to 5 (Sunday), Kia will hold a pop-up exhibition titled ‘The Power to Progress’ at Nudite Seoul Forest to showcase the innovation of the K5 brand. Kia plans to decorate the exhibition space to allow customers to experience and enjoy the K5 through a variety of events featuring large installation artworks infused with the energy of innovation.

From November 2 (Thursday) to 12 (Sunday), a free photo shoot event will be held in collaboration with the self-studio brand ‘Photoism’ for customers visiting Kia 360 (located in Gangnam-gu, Seoul) and four flagship stores nationwide (Gayang, Incheon, Bucheon, Gwangju) using special K5 frames.

Furthermore, throughout November, a local travel app ‘Datetrip’ will host an event introducing ‘Fall K5 Driving Destinations’, in which participating customers stand a chance to win ▲ a K5 weekend test drive (3 nights and 4 days) ▲ K5 special goods (padding blanket) via a lucky draw.
