Curomotors, the official dealer for Isuzu in Korea, held a celebration on March 15 to commemorate a customer who has driven their ELF truck for a cumulative total of over a million kilometers.
The star of the event was Mr. Nam-sik Yoo, who resides in Gangnam, Seoul, and has been operating a 3.5-ton ELF truck (refrigerated) delivered in December 2017 for seven years.
Driving a million kilometers is equivalent to making round trips between Seoul and Busan 1,250 times. Mr. Yoo, who trusted the automated transmission and durability reputation of Isuzu vehicles when making his purchase, declared that opting for the ELF truck was an excellent choice even after seven years. He noted that compared to previous trucks, there have been very few issues, allowing him more operational time, attributing much of this to following maintenance and replacement protocols as per the manual.
Currently delivering meat products, Mr. Yoo mentioned, “I drive an average of 700 kilometers a day, which involves long-distance operations. The ELF truck has excellent engine power, outstanding braking performance, and a remarkably low consumption of urea solution, making it economical. I am willing to repurchase Isuzu vehicles in the future,” he stated.
Kim Seok-joo, the CEO of Curomotors, expressed, “We believe more ELF trucks will continue to reach the milestone of one million kilometers without any issues, further validating the durability of Isuzu vehicles. Starting this year, we are set to launch the sale of the 5-ton Forward truck, and we plan to broaden our lineup to meet market demand.”
Curomotors presented Mr. Yoo with Isuzu service coupons and commemorative gifts as the first owner to reach one million kilometers. He will be registered as a member of the ‘Isuzu Millionaire Club’ along with future owners of one million-kilometer vehicles, with plans for regular sponsorships that include invites to members’ meetings and new vehicle events, granting him the title of ‘Isuzu Ambassador.’
