Jaguar Land Rover Korea plans to sell 75 units of the ’75th Anniversary Limited Edition Defender,’ commemorating 75 years since the birth of the iconic Land Rover Defender, and will conduct online pre-orders.

The Defender first appeared on the world stage in 1948 at the Amsterdam Motor Show as Series 1 and has been loved worldwide for the past 75 years. The all-new Defender, which emerged in 2020, has achieved an amazing evolution that exceeds expectations with its unique design that modernly reinterprets its heritage, off-road capabilities befitting Land Rover’s reputation, and a range of cutting-edge technologies.

The 75th Anniversary Limited Edition Defender is set to be based on the all-new Defender 110 D300 HSE, with improved features and a price point in the 130 million Korean won range.

The limited edition features a unique design theme with the iconic Grasmere Green color for the exterior, roof, side signature graphics, and interior finishes.

The exterior design features the exclusive Grasmere Green, a special color for the 75th anniversary edition, marking a first for the Defender lineup, and also applies to the 20-inch alloy wheels and center caps. The tailgate features a 75th anniversary badge and a Ceres Silver bumper, maximizing the uniqueness of this limited model.

The interior retains the unique durability and versatility of the Defender. One of the iconic elements of the all-new Defender, the cross car beam, is finished with the same Grasmere Green powder coating as the exterior, adding a distinctive touch, and it features laser-etched 75th anniversary graphics.

The seats are finished with Land Rover’s new material, Ebony Resist, which is environmentally friendly with lower carbon emissions compared to traditional leather options and is known for its excellent durability. Additionally, the center console features a sturdy hockey stick design support made of robust Roberstek material.

Equipped with the Ingenium inline-6 diesel engine featuring a 48V mild hybrid system, the 75th Anniversary Limited Edition Defender boasts lightweight aluminum construction and minimizes piston friction within the cylinders.

Additionally, the twin turbochargers and electronically controlled variable nozzle system operate with precision and flexibility, delivering about 90% of maximum torque in just one second at 2,000 rpm. Thanks to this advanced technology, the Ingenium inline-6 diesel engine showcases impressive performance with a maximum output of 300 horsepower and a maximum torque of 66.3 kg·m.

The 75th Anniversary Limited Edition Defender features an impressive driving performance, both on and off the road, with electronic air suspension that adjusts ride height according to driving conditions and an electronic active rear locking differential for optimal traction control. Additionally, adaptive dynamics continuously monitors road conditions 500 times per second and optimizes damper settings, providing sharp handling and the best ride comfort on the road.

It is also equipped with a host of smart advanced technologies. Land Rover’s revolutionary 3D surround camera and customizable automated terrain response system enable comfortable driving in any environment. The vehicle includes a Meridian sound system, matrix LED headlights, an 11.4-inch Pivi Pro infotainment system, head-up display, and wireless charging capabilities. Furthermore, features like a sliding panoramic roof, center console refrigerator, and a three-zone climate control system add to the high level of comfort.

Robin Colgan, CEO of Jaguar Land Rover Korea, stated, “The Defender is the model that has written the history of Land Rover off-roaders and is an irreplaceable SUV that redefines 21st-century adventure.
