Volvo Cars Korea is conducting the plogging campaign ‘Clean Olle’ in collaboration with the Jeju Olle Association.

This campaign was initiated with a heartfelt desire to allow those walking the Olle trails to enjoy a clean and beautiful natural environment by picking up litter along the way.

The campaign is open to everyone from October 17 to August 31 of next year. Participants can receive bags for plogging activities at 15 official information centers along the Jeju Olle trail (437 km, 27 courses). Participants will use bags categorized for general/recycling waste and visit the ‘Clean House’ near the Jeju Olle trail after their plogging activity to properly sort their trash, which will confirm their participation.

Participants who verify their participation with photos at the information centers during this period will receive a limited edition camp cap developed by Volvo Cars in collaboration with the Jeju Olle Association. (For participants with 9 or more participations, while supplies last)

Meanwhile, Volvo has been promoting the ‘Hey, Plogging’ campaign since 2019 to spread the eco-friendly trend of plogging, which originated in Sweden. This year, in July, a public campaign was held, and in August, over 1,000 Volvo employees participated in a special campaign across key regions, including the metropolitan area, Busan, and Jeju Island. Volvo Cars Korea plans to actively promote the plogging culture campaign in Jeju through its collaboration with the Jeju Olle Association.

Lee Man-sik, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Volvo Cars Korea, stated, “We hope this plogging campaign will help create a cleaner and more beautiful Jeju,” adding, “We will continue to develop various plogging campaigns to spread the plogging culture in the country.”

Details on how to participate in the plogging campaign ‘Clean Olle’ and the addresses of official information centers can be found on the Olle Pass (OLLE PASS) app and the Jeju Olle website (www.jejuolle.org).
