Jaguar Land Rover Korea held a preview event for the all-new Range Rover Sport on the 11th at the Seoul Auction Gangnam Center. The official launch of the all-new Range Rover Sport will begin in December.

The all-new Range Rover Sport achieved 1,000 pre-contracts domestically since its global premiere in May. This pre-release event is being conducted globally in select major cities as part of a special initiative from the British headquarters, and it reflects the high interest from domestic customers and the importance of the Korean market, hence being held in Seoul.

Since its first launch in 2005, the Range Rover Sport has set a new standard for sports luxury SUVs for 17 years based on instinctive feel, dynamism, and performance. The completely redesigned third-generation all-new Range Rover Sport delivers excellent on-road performance, characteristic refinement of the Range Rover Sport, progressive and sophisticated design, and connectivity to become more attractive than ever.

Jaguar Land Rover Korea first unveiled the I6 Ingenium gasoline and diesel engine models equipped with an advanced mild-hybrid system in the all-new Range Rover Sport. Following their electrification plan as part of their Reimagine strategy, they plan to launch a plug-in hybrid with extended driving range in 2023 and then gradually introduce pure electric models.

The sophisticated exterior of the all-new Range Rover Sport is characterized by smooth surfaces, a dynamic stance, and a unique profile, with stealth design details and muscular proportions providing a strong impression. The dramatic proportions, including short overhangs, a bold front end, and steeply sloping windscreens at the front and back, highlight the overpowering power and performance of the all-new Range Rover Sport.

The exterior design is further enhanced with meticulous finishes such as a stealth design front grille and digital LED headlights forming signature daytime running lights. Inside each headlight are 1.3 million individually controllable digital micro-mirror devices, capable of identifying up to 16 objects in the vehicle’s path and intelligently blocking light to prevent glare for other road users. The continuously extending LED rear lights incorporate surface LED technology for the first time in a production vehicle, providing a clear and modern look from any angle.

Sleekly finished flush glazing and door handles, hidden waist rail finishers, and laser-welded roofs embody a modern luxury design philosophy, contributing to the precise and sophisticated exterior. With this aerodynamic design, the all-new Range Rover Sport achieves a drag coefficient of just 0.29Cd, 15% better than the previous generation model.

The driver-centered interior creates an immersive driving environment. The Land Rover’s trademark command driving position incorporates the latest technologies and premium materials, providing an exceptional all-around view through a cockpit-like structure. The enveloping headrests, spacious center console, and high waistline create an environment where the driver can focus solely on driving.

The all-new Range Rover Sport is built on Land Rover’s next-generation MLA-Flex (Modular Longitudinal Architecture-Flex) platform, providing up to 35% improved torsional stiffness at 33,000Nm/deg compared to previous models, while an integrated chassis control system ensures a harmonious operation of various systems. This results in instinctively responsive and agile performance.

The dynamic air suspension fitted to the all-new Range Rover Sport introduces convertible volume air springs, offering the best comfort and control. The dynamic air suspension features double-chamber air chambers, expanding the operating bandwidth of the suspension, while electronic control valves adjust internal pressure more quickly and precisely. During dynamic driving, pressure within the chambers increases for more stable cornering and agile handling.

The all-new Range Rover Sport boasts the most dynamic and impressive driving performance in its history through a variety of cutting-edge driving technologies. Dynamic Response Pro ensures new levels of body control and cornering stability, applying up to 1,400Nm of torque to each axle via the latest 48V electronic roll control system. Additionally, Adaptive Dynamics 2 technology monitors the road surface status 500 times per second, continuously controlling active twin dampers to reduce unnecessary body movements, providing the best ride comfort and refined driving dynamics.

Electronic active differential, featuring all-wheel steering and a braking-based torque vectoring system, guarantees excellent cornering performance. The all-wheel steering feature allows the rear axle to be steered up to 7.3 degrees, adjusting the steering direction of the front and rear axles differently depending on low and high-speed driving, thus exhibiting agility, maneuverability, and excellent stability.

The optional Stormer Handling Pack optimally combines chassis technologies, further elevating the all-new Range Rover Sport’s dynamic performance. The Stormer Handling Pack includes Dynamic Response Pro, all-wheel steering, torque vectoring system with electronic active differentials, and configurable programs.

With the latest automatic Terrain Response System 2, including Land Rover’s representative off-road technologies, and the brand’s first adaptive off-road cruise control, the all-new Range Rover Sport provides unprecedented stable and excellent off-road performance. The adaptive off-road cruise control automatically analyzes vehicle tilting, rolling, pitching, and yaw based on various algorithms, adjusting the optimal driving speed for the vehicle. Thus, drivers can focus solely on steering while ensuring stability, control, and ride comfort in any off-road environment.
