Kia’s Senior Auto Consultant, Kwon Young-il, achieved a cumulative sales figure of 4,000 vehicles and earned the title of ‘Grand Master’.

The ‘Grand Master’ title is an honor awarded only to outstanding sales personnel who reach a cumulative sales of 4,000 vehicles at Kia.

Kwon Young-il joined Kia in 1993 and has consistently built an impressive track record over 30 years, averaging 133 sales per year, culminating in a total of 4,000 vehicles sold, making him the 25th Grand Master.

Kwon expressed, “This is the happiest time in my life, meeting good people through cars,” and emphasized his commitment to valuing relationships with customers, stating he would be with them for a lifetime.

Kia presented Kwon Young-il with a plaque and the prize vehicle, a K9.

Kia operates various reward systems like the ‘Long-Term Sales Honorary Award System’ and the ‘Kia Star Awards’ to inspire pride among sales staff and foster healthy competition.

Long-term sales honorary titles include ‘Star’ for 2,000 vehicles sold, ‘Master’ for 3,000, ‘Grand Master’ for 4,000, and ‘Great Master’ for 5,000.

Kia rewards those achieving tiered sales milestones with cash prizes or vehicles (K9).

Meanwhile, considering the rapidly changing automotive industry and the direction of Kia’s brand relaunch, the company changed the designation for sales staff to ‘Auto Consultant’ on the 5th of this month.

Alongside this, the six-tier job titles from salespersons to sales managers were integrated into two levels (Junior Auto Consultant, Senior Auto Consultant).

The title ‘Auto Consultant’ will continue to be relevant as the sales role expands to provide solutions for diverse mobility products/services, including PBV, autonomous driving, and vehicle subscriptions.
