BMW Korea will begin accepting pre-orders for the new 7 Series, including the diesel model New 740d xDrive and the PHEV New 750e xDrive, starting from 3 PM on the 21st through ‘BMW Shop Online.’

The new 7 Series is a complete redesign of the seventh generation, showcasing an overwhelming presence and luxurious aesthetics. It provides a unique digital experience thanks to its new entertainment system, offering an unparalleled sense of luxury and a new dimension of mobility.

The exterior of the new 7 Series features distinctive characteristics with separated headlights and the BMW Crystal Headlight Iconic Glow, giving it an unmatched presence and feel. The vehicle’s length has increased by 130mm, width by 50mm, and height by 65mm compared to the previous generation long wheelbase model, resulting in a more comfortable and spacious interior.

The New 740d xDrive comes equipped with the latest 48-volt mild hybrid technology, offering additional power to assist the engine’s performance while promoting quieter and smoother operation. The system delivers a maximum output of 299 horsepower and a peak torque of 68.3kg·m, achieving a 0-100 km/h acceleration in just 5.8 seconds.

The PHEV model, New 750e xDrive, combines the BMW TwinPower Turbo inline 6-cylinder gasoline engine with a 197-horsepower electric motor, generating a combined system output of 489 horsepower. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in only 4.8 seconds and is equipped with a high-voltage battery with a total capacity of 22.1kWh, improved by over 50% compared to the previous generation, allowing for a maximum electric range of 87km on a single charge (WLTP standard).

Both the New 740d xDrive and 750e xDrive come with a range of flagship convenience features, enhancing their luxury. They are equipped with integral active steering for agile handling and Driving Assistant Professional for optimal driving safety. Additionally, a panoramic glass roof with a Sky Lounge and a rear theater screen are standard features, providing a comfortable and enjoyable journey.

Furthermore, the New 750e xDrive is equipped with 21-inch wheels and Executive Lounge seats, along with the Bowers & Wilkins Diamond surround sound system, providing the most advanced experience in a new dimension of mobility.

Both models are available in designs of Pure Excellence and M Sport. The expected prices for the BMW New 740d xDrive Pure Excellence and M Sport are between 158 million to 168 million KRW, while the New 750e xDrive Pure Excellence and M Sport will range from 192 million to 220 million KRW, with official launches planned for March and June, respectively.
