Ford Korea officially launches the Next Generation Ford Ranger in the South Korean market.

The Ranger is a flagship midsize pickup truck from Ford, a renowned name in the pickup truck industry. It is currently sold in over 180 countries worldwide and offers robust value based on over 40 years of continuous technological advances since its debut.

The Next Generation Ranger embodies the DNA of Ford’s pickup trucks with its strong and vibrant design. It has been reimagined based on extreme driving tests conducted in diverse environments, climates, and terrains across 130 countries and feedback from over 5,000 customer interviews and surveys, making it a more consumer-centric model.

The newly launched Ranger comes in two trims: Wildtrak and Raptor, both equipped with a 2.0L bi-turbo diesel engine and a 10-speed automatic transmission. The front features signature C-clamp headlights, completing a strong and impressive exterior design. The interior, finished with high-quality soft-touch materials, has been upgraded with various customer-focused features.

Drivers can intuitively and conveniently operate necessary information through the large 12-inch vertical touchscreen located in the center stack, and enjoy a variety of infotainment content through Ford’s signature SYNC4® system. Additionally, advanced driver assistance systems such as Active Park Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Monitoring, and a front detection system with a 360-degree camera are equipped to ensure stable driving in various environments.

The Wildtrak’s fuel efficiency meets various commercial and leisure uses with a mileage of 10.1 km per liter (combined fuel efficiency) and boasts a maximum output of 205 horsepower and 51 kg∙m of peak torque, ensuring powerful driving performance. It features a total of six driving modes, allowing tailored driving according to terrain and environment.

It also features towing capabilities of up to 3,500 kg, along with enhanced convenience specifications such as clamp pockets in the cargo space, improved material and design bed liners, convenient side steps, cargo management hooks, and zone lighting.

Meanwhile, the Raptor, which has solidified its reputation as a performance pickup truck, has a fuel efficiency of 9.0 km per liter (combined fuel efficiency) and achieves a maximum output of 210 horsepower along with a peak torque of 51 kg∙m.

Specializing in off-road and rugged terrain driving, the Raptor includes seven driving modes, including Baja and Rock Crawling modes, and is equipped with LED headlights, which is a first for the Ranger model. With a sturdy chassis structure, Fox shock absorbers, and all-terrain tires, it provides a dynamic performance driving experience that meets the needs of customers seeking differentiated performance.

The Next Generation Ford Ranger showcase will be held from March 2 to 4, featuring the high-energy identity of the newly transformed Ranger. The event will kick off with the unveiling performance of the Wildtrak and Raptor, followed by outdoor experience zones that include off-road courses with slopes, ramps, and bumps, providing diverse attractions and activities for attendees.

The Next Generation Ranger Wildtrak is expected to begin customer deliveries in March, while the Raptor will start in the second quarter. Prices are set at 63.5 million won for the Wildtrak and 79.9 million won for the Raptor, including VAT.
