Green Car has surpassed a total of 34,000 subscriptions for its service ‘Green Pass’. This milestone was achieved in approximately three and a half months since its official launch in November of last year.

During this period, Green Pass subscribers rented vehicles an average of six more times per person compared to regular Green Car members. A comparison of rental times before and after subscription shows that the average rental duration increased by about 20%, and the average driving distance increased by about 12%, indicating that subscribers are using the service for longer and farther distances. Moreover, the payment method for Green Pass reveals that 76% of subscribers opted for annual payments, while 24% chose monthly payments, showing a trend among members preferring a more cost-effective car-sharing subscription.

The dedicated Green Pass exit fare of 7,000 won showed nearly double the usage rates compared to the general member’s exit fare of 8,900 won. This suggests that subscribers, who have higher travel frequencies than regular members, are willing to pay for a subscription fee to save on increased transportation costs due to extended late-night taxi surcharges and increased call fees, making long-term use of the Green Pass exit fare a more economical choice.

The ‘Green Pass’ is a subscription product designed to allow users to access a variety of vehicle models at more reasonable prices based on their circumstances and mobility purposes including daily life, work, and travel. The subscription options consist of a monthly payment (2,500 won per month) and an annual payment (25,000 won per year), allowing customers to choose without financial burden according to their vehicle usage frequency.

Both payment methods offer basic benefits such as a 60% discount across all vehicle models on weekdays and weekends, and a flat discount of 7,000 won on weekday late-night rentals. Additionally, the 24-hour free rental benefit is provided after three consecutive months of the monthly payment and is awarded immediately upon annual payment and every three months thereafter to enhance the range of benefits. There are also partnership discounts available, such as a maximum of 6,000 won off at Lotte Cinema and a 10% discount at Lotte Home Shopping.

A spokesperson for Green Car stated, “We launched Green Pass to help customers maintain economical daily commuting amid rising taxi fares and transportation costs during this inflationary period. Since its launch, we have provided nearly 10 billion won in discount benefits, coupled with additional everyday benefits for Green Pass subscribers (Lotte Cinema and Lotte Home Shopping discounts), which have garnered a lot of interest. We will continue to expand not just Green Pass, but also introduce additional services that reflect diverse lifestyles to create a more reasonable and convenient daily mobility experience.”
