KG Mobility has revealed the key specifications and price range for its mid-sized electric SUV, the Torres EVX, during the Seoul Mobility Show and will begin pre-orders starting on the 31st.

The Torres EVX is the first electrified model to be launched under the new name of KG Mobility. It combines the essential technical prowess and craftsmanship of the ‘SUV dynasty’ with forward-thinking systems and designs. KG Mobility representatives state that it will provide cutting-edge technological convenience and the utmost satisfaction through innovative changes.

The selling price is expected to range from ▲E5 48.5 million to 49.5 million won and ▲E7 51.0 million to 52.0 million won (based on the individual consumption tax reduction), and is anticipated to be affordable at around 30 million won with regional electric vehicle subsidies.

Pre-orders for the Torres EVX will be held nationwide at KG Mobility (Ssangyong Motor) showrooms as well as online, offering various benefits to pre-order customers.

Until April 9, when the Seoul Mobility Show concludes, 300 pre-order customers will be chosen at random to receive two uses of pick-up & delivery charging services. Additionally, pre-order customers will be prioritized for various customer experience programs organized by KG Mobility, including auto camping and test-driving events.

To enhance convenience for pre-order customers, KG Mobility plans to provide exclusive updates on additional vehicle information, official release dates, and various event notifications via a dedicated KakaoTalk channel. They will also give away brand emoticons that depict the iconic nature of the Torres EVX.

Revealed ahead of its release in the second half of the year, the front design emphasizes powerful and concise lines, featuring strong and detailed horizontal LED daytime running lights (DRL) known as the ‘Kinetic Lighting Block,’ highlighting the distinctive identity of KG Mobility’s electric vehicles. Furthermore, the interior is designed ergonomically in the Slim & Wide configuration applied in the Torres to provide drivers with a differentiated user experience (UX).

The Torres EVX also significantly enhances safety. By using lithium iron phosphate batteries, which are increasingly adopted by global brands, safety has improved, and the risk of fire has been drastically reduced due to enhanced resistance to external shocks. Furthermore, its optimized design allows for a driving range of approximately 500 km (based on WLTP standards) on a single charge, while domestic standards may exceed 420 km (subject to change upon release).
