The Lotus Emira makes its stunning debut for domestic consumers.

Lotus Cars Korea has opened a pop-up exhibition for the ‘Emira’ at the Lotte World Tower Event Hall on the first floor in Jamsil, Seoul, which will run until July 31 (Monday).

Founded in 1948, Lotus is recognized as one of the world’s top three sports car manufacturers along with Ferrari and Porsche, boasting a 75-year legacy. Known for its lightweight construction that results in agile handling and captivating design, Lotus proudly flies the flag of being an ‘ultra-lightweight pure sports car’ brand, having won 79 trophies in Formula 1 (international automotive racing competitions).

The car featured in this exhibition is the ‘Emira V6 First Edition’. It boasts impressive driving performance with a 3,456cc V6 Toyota engine, a top speed of 290 km/h, and a peak output of 400hp (horsepower). Yet, its curb weight of 1,405kg enables it to reach 0-100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds. The exotic supercar design is enhanced by a vibrant Seneca Blue color, adding to its visual appeal.

The Emira will be available in both 6-speed manual and automatic transmission models, allowing users to choose according to their driving preferences. Given that the Emira is Lotus’s last manual model, it has garnered significant interest from domestic manual transmission enthusiasts even before its launch. Additionally, the combination of rear-wheel drive and a mid-engine is expected to deliver the unique driving experience characteristic of ultra-lightweight sports cars.

Lotus Cars Korea plans to open an official showroom within the key import automobile business district in Gangnam at the end of September, starting with this pop-up exhibition, and will simultaneously initiate pre-orders for the Emira.

Visitors to the pop-up exhibition can also participate in the ‘Lotus Korea Official Launch Commemorative Event.’ To enroll, one can apply for ‘Quick Information Subscription’ on the official Lotus website (accessible directly via portal search). This service allows participants to receive Emira information first, enhancing their chances for quicker contracts and vehicle deliveries. Results from the event will be revealed in August, with various prizes awarded, including a 1:18 scale model of the Emira in Seneca Blue for three winners.

A representative from Lotus Cars Korea stated, “We are very pleased to be able to present the Emira, which offers a stylish driving sensation, to domestic customers through this pop-up exhibition.” He added, “Since Lotus’s headquarters in the UK considers Korea a key market, we will continue to support domestic marketing and collaborate in various ways for business expansion.”

Daniel Balmer, the Asia-Pacific and Middle East Regional Director at Lotus UK, commented, “We will spare no effort in providing opportunities for more Korean customers to experience Lotus’s technology and the joy of driving.”

Meanwhile, Kolon Mobility Group, based on its long history and know-how in premium automotive distribution and sales, is leading the comprehensive mobility business through structural reform and expansion. In May of this year, they signed an official partnership agreement with Lotus and established Lotus Cars Korea. Kolon Mobility Group operates as the only official Lotus importer in Korea, conducting exclusive distribution.
