The BMW Group will present its vision for the future of personal mobility and innovative strengths at ‘IAA Mobility 2023’, which opens in Munich, Germany on September 5th. The group will showcase concept cars embodying the BMW brand’s vision, new electrified models, and new pure electric models from the MINI brand and BMW Motorrad for the first time in the world.

At this year’s IAA Mobility, the BMW Group will share its achievements in electrification, digitalization, and circularity. Through the new concept car, BMW Vision Neue Klasse, the group will present its vision of electrified powertrains, digital innovations, and resource-efficient manufacturing processes. The BMW Vision Neue Klasse is a model that takes a completely new approach to design, efficiency, and sustainability.

Additionally, BMW will unveil the plug-in hybrid (PHEV) model of the premium business sedan, the New 5 Series, for the first time worldwide. The PHEV powertrain of the New 5 Series, based on a new modular EfficientDynamics system with 4-cylinder and 6-cylinder gasoline engines, combines with BMW’s latest eDrive technology to deliver enhanced performance and efficiency. Furthermore, it features an optimized battery installation design that provides the same trunk space as a conventional internal combustion engine model.

MINI will also introduce the new MINI Cooper pure electric model and MINI Countryman pure electric model, marking the start of its transition into a fully electrified brand, while BMW Motorrad plans to unveil the BMW CE 02, a pure electric scooter designed for urban use.

Moreover, the BMW Group plans to showcase the latest hydrogen fuel cell vehicle, the BMW iX5 Hydrogen, at the IAA Summit, where experts will present and discuss the future of mobility and unveil its vision for hydrogen-based transportation.
