A sculpture of a person wearing a gigantic helmet. This massive figure poses as if playing with a car, lying down with a white Porsche 911 in its left hand. This is the ‘Dream Big’, crafted with care by Porsche Korea.

On the 25th, Porsche Korea held a global artwork event titled ‘Dream Big’ on the lawn in front of Lotte Tower in Jamsil, Seoul, to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the 911’s production. ‘Dream Big’ is a creation by Scotland-based artist Chris Labrooy, who was inspired by his childhood. The sculpture depicts a helmeted child playing with a Porsche car, showcasing a delightful white coupe of the 911 in the child’s left hand. After touring locations such as Miami, Singapore, the UK, and China, it has finally made its way to Korea for Porsche fans.

Following the guidance of a docent, tourists visiting Jamsil took the opportunity to capture memories in front of the Porsche sculpture. Parked in front of the Dream Big sculpture are three models of the 911 sports car: the third generation 964, the fourth generation 993, and the eighth generation 992.

Among these, the models that stand out are the third generation 964 and the fourth generation 993. The 964 model was produced from 1989 to 1993, featuring a classic design that captures attention. Notably, this generation introduced advanced technology, with airbags for both the driver and passenger becoming standard for the first time in the 911 models. With a six-cylinder engine, it delivered a maximum output of 250 horsepower.

The 993, produced from 1993 to 1996, is the last model of the Porsche 911 to feature an air-cooled, horizontally opposed engine. Its voluminous design and integrated bumpers have endeared it to many Porsche fans.

On the far right, the 8th generation 992 Cabriolet, which has been sold since 2019, is displayed. The 992 Cabriolet features a six-cylinder turbocharged engine, delivering a powerful 490 horsepower and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds.

To the left of the classic Porsche models, visitors can also experience electric go-karts. Anyone over 12 years old can participate for free, and they can obtain a Porsche electric go-kart license right on site.

The Dream Big exhibition will run until the 3rd of next month.
