General Motors is adding the Chevrolet Colorado and Traverse to its online sales lineup starting September, aimed at enhancing vehicle purchasing convenience and accessibility for domestic customers.

Considering consumer preferences for online purchases and the trend of contactless payments, GM introduced its online sales system in May 2021 with a pilot sale of the Chevrolet New Camaro SS, becoming the first in the domestic automotive industry to adopt such a model. Since then, GM has played a pioneering role in online sales, presenting models like the Chevrolet Bolt EV and Bolt EUV as dedicated online sales options, along with models like the Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Sierra available both online and offline.

With the addition of the Chevrolet Colorado and Traverse as online sales models starting from the 1st, GM will operate five out of nine total models, over half of its sales lineup for Chevrolet and GMC brands, as online sales models. This will significantly improve purchase convenience and accessibility for customers. Both models are also available for offline purchase through the Chevrolet sales network.

Gustavo Colosi, Vice President of Sales and Service at GM Korea, stated, “At GM, customer satisfaction is our priority, and we strive to ensure that ‘the customer is always at the center of everything we do.’ The expansion of our online sales lineup, including the Chevrolet Colorado and Traverse, reflects GM’s commitment to enhancing purchasing accessibility for customers in regions without showrooms or for those who find it difficult to visit a showroom.”

Customers interested in online purchases can visit the Chevrolet Online Shop and GMC Online Shop to conveniently buy vehicles without having to visit a showroom, from vehicle quotes to payment and delivery.

The Chevrolet Colorado and Traverse are both iconic models representing American RVs. The mid-size pickup truck Colorado boasts an overwhelming market share of 61.4% in the import mid-size pickup market for the first half of this year, according to the Korea Imported Automobile Association (KAIDA). Equipped with a 3.6-liter V6 engine and electronic AutoTrac active 4×4 system, it allows for a versatile outdoor lifestyle ranging from camping to serious off-roading.

With dimensions of 5,230mm in length, 1,780mm in height, and a wheelbase of 3,073mm, the Traverse features a dominant size in the family-friendly large SUV market. It comes with a powerful 3.6-liter V6 engine and options for switchable AWD, hidden OEM trailer hitch receiver, trailer hitch guidelines, and hitch view monitoring, making it a versatile SUV suitable for not just camping but also trailer towing.

During September, Chevrolet is offering special promotions, providing various benefits to domestic customers. Chevrolet’s special financing programs include cash benefits for outright purchases by vehicle type, as well as combo financing and interest-free installment options.

Chevrolet will support up to 6.91 million won for customers purchasing the Traverse, Bolt EUV, Colorado, and Tahoe through the combo program, while providing vehicle registration tax support of up to 5.41 million won for customers buying outright (not available for double support). In addition, business customers purchasing the Colorado will receive an additional 1 million won, with 2 million won provided to existing owners of Tahoe upon purchase, alongside support up to 300,000 won for customers with cars older than seven years.
