Ford Korea held the ‘2023 Ford Technical Competition’ on the 12th at the Ford Korea Training Center located in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province. This event serves as a platform for enhancing the technical competitiveness of domestic Ford technicians.

The ‘Ford Technical Competition’ is a program initiated by Ford Korea to provide competitive services to customers and achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction. First held in 2017, this year’s event marks the fifth iteration, bringing together technicians from Ford Korea’s official dealer service centers to enhance technical expertise and promote interaction.

Since May, Ford Korea has conducted theory tests for about 104 technicians to assess their comprehensive knowledge and understanding of advanced features and systems of Ford vehicles. From these, nine technicians with outstanding scores advanced to the finals, where their capabilities in precise diagnostic processes and problem-solving using Ford’s technical manuals and specialized equipment were evaluated.

The grand prize of the ‘2023 Ford Technical Competition’ was awarded to technician Kim Jin-woo from Sunin Motors, with the second place going to Park Joon-seok from Lee Han Motors and the third place awarded to Kim Tae-hyung from Premier Motors.

Lee Geun-soo, the head of the service division at Ford Korea, stated, “Ford Korea is consistently striving to cultivate systematic and professional service personnel through events like this technical competition. I would like to congratulate and thank the winners for their outstanding performance and hope they continue to provide high-quality services to our customers in the future.”

Meanwhile, Ford Korea currently operates a total of 32 official service centers for Ford and Lincoln nationwide, with approximately 200 professional technicians stationed at each center, dedicated to ensuring customer satisfaction.
