Mercedes-Benz will equip the new 2024 S-Class with a digital key following the new GLE.
The Digital Key uses NFC (Near Field Communication) technology, enhancing the smartphone with vehicle smart key capabilities, allowing users to open and close the car doors. The Benz Digital Key is activated when the smart key is present inside the car through ‘Digital Key Pass Pre Installation’.
Using the Mercedes Me app, users can unlock and lock the vehicle with the stored smart key, activating when the user approaches the car.
Additionally, the S-Class will undergo a model year change with the 2024 update, leading to some trim changes. The previously higher diesel trim, the S400d, will now be renamed to S450d, while the existing S350d will be discontinued.
The pricing for the 2024 S-Class starts at 159.5 million won for the S450d 4MATIC, 178.5 million won for the S450d 4MATIC AMG Line, 182.5 million won for the S450 4MATIC, and 237 million won for the S500 4MATIC.
