BorgWarner is set to participate in the 2023 Korea Future Mobility Expo (DIFA), the country’s largest mobility exhibition and forum, to be held from October 19 to 21 at EXCO, Daegu. The company will showcase a range of innovative and sustainable future mobility products and solutions.

BorgWarner will display key products such as the HVH 220 electric motor and the integrated drive module (iDM) across two booths. The integrated drive module (iDM) from BorgWarner combines power electronics, electric motors, and inverters into a single electric axle (eAxle) unit, providing a maximum power of 150 kW and torque of 5000 Nm.

Meanwhile, BorgWarner has committed to investing a total of 1.12 trillion won in manufacturing facilities and research and development within the Daegu Electric Vehicle Motor Materials and Components Specialization Complex by 2030, as part of seven anchor companies.

In 2022, construction began on a 1,605 pyeong-sized electric motor research institute for future mobility in the Daegu National Industrial Complex, which is set to be completed in March 2024. BorgWarner DTC has also decided to make a significant investment in the National Robot Test Field project in Daegu.
