Audi Korea is launching the dynamically advanced high-performance model, the ‘New Audi RS 6 Avant Performance’.
The Audi Avant is celebrated for its graceful yet sleek exterior design, often regarded as the most beautiful wagon design. As an icon leading the history of RS models, it maximizes both practicality and beauty through extraordinary driving performance combined with the spacious loading capacity characteristic of wagon design and RS signature design elements, boasting a massive fan base.
The Audi RS (Renn Sport, Racing Sport) models are high-performance variants produced by Audi Sport, a subsidiary of Audi AG that specializes in creating only high-performance Audi models. The ‘New Audi RS 6 Avant Performance’ has been upgraded to deliver the strongest performance ever, featuring a 4.0-liter V8 gasoline engine with large turbochargers and improved boost pressure from 2.4 to 2.6 bars, resulting in a power output increase of 30 horsepower and torque boost of 5.1 kg.m compared to the existing RS 6 Avant model.
The ‘New RS 6 Avant Performance’ is equipped with a 4.0-liter V8 engine paired with an 8-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission, achieving a commanding output of 630 horsepower and maximum torque of 86.68 kg.m. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds, with a top speed of 305 km/h (electronically limited), and combined fuel efficiency rated at 7.1 km/l (6.1 km/l in city driving and 9.0 km/l on highways). The insulation between the engine compartment, interior, and rear has been reduced to deliver a dynamically heightened sound experience, while the ‘Audi Drive Select’ for modifying driving modes and ‘RS Sports Suspension Plus’ featuring dynamic ride control provide further enhancements. The sport differential improves driving performance and allows for more precise cornering, minimizing understeer when handling reaches its limits. The steering response has become more accurate, allowing drivers to experience the refined yet dynamic driving performance unique to Audi RS models.
The ‘New RS 6 Avant Performance’ features a balance of the RS signature design within the elegantly sharp rear lines typical of Avant wagon design, interpreted in the sportiest manner. Beyond the Audi logos at the front and rear and the RS 6 badge, a black package has been applied to the grille, rear diffuser, roof rails, and window molding to convey a solid image, while the side moldings, side mirrors, frontal lip, rear diffuser lines, and air intake blades feature a carbon package.
The 22-inch 5-V spoke trapezoidal style wheels, ceramic brakes, and red calipers beautifully convey the dynamic image exclusive to RS models. The front houses high-beam assist and Audi laser lights visualized with LED illumination, incorporating ‘HD Matrix LED headlights’ boasting a greater range of visibility with tightly arranged rays that are brighter than standard LEDs, while dynamic turn signals that can adjust brightness are installed in both the headlights and taillights to enhance visibility and safety.
The interior space is equally harmonious with clean and defined contours. The dash is adorned with carbon twill inlays and a black headlining (Dinamica), enhanced with a Nappa leather package on the upper dash and shoulder, complemented by the gear shift, center console, and door armrests also featuring the Dinamica package to embody both sportiness and elegance. The RS sports seats wrapped in honeycomb-pattern Valcona leather are equipped with seat heating for the second row and ventilation features for the front seats, along with RS logo red stitching, showcasing the signature design of Audi RS models. The multi-colored ambient lights and door entry lights integrated front and rear elevate the sophistication of the interior space.
The ‘New RS 6 Avant Performance’ is equipped with a high level of safety and convenience systems, offering a smart driving experience characteristic of Audi’s high-performance models. Innovations like solar charging wireless Hi-Pass, ‘front/rear parking assistance and surround view display’, ‘Park Assist Plus’ and ‘360° camera’, and ‘Pre Sense 360°’ are included. Features such as ‘Audi Side Assist’, ‘Exit Warning System’, and ‘Adaptive Cruise Assist’, which adjusts speed while maintaining a safe distance from the car in front, reflect Audi’s high standards in safety that consider not only the driver and passengers but pedestrians as well.
Additionally, the vehicle comes standard with a 12.3-inch ‘Virtual Cockpit Plus’ featuring an RS mode-specific display, an ‘MMI Navigation Plus’ touchscreen, and a ‘Head-Up Display’ that allows the driver to control all vehicle information intuitively and integratively. Through the ‘Audi Smartphone Interface’, drivers can directly access their smartphone content, while the ‘Audi Connect’ system offers a variety of navigation, infotainment functionality, vehicle control, and emergency calling services, enhancing the ease and safety of the driving experience. Other features include wireless charging, 4-zone climate control, front and rear USB ports, voice control, and a Bang & Olufsen 3D advanced sound system (19 channels, 19 speakers, 1,820 watts), all enriching the ultimate driving experience. Furthermore, with the ‘Audi Connect’ system integrated, drivers can enjoy considerable convenience and safety services through the seamless connection between vehicle-driver-network, allowing functions such as remote vehicle control, vehicle status checking, finding the vehicle, and requesting emergency assistance through the My Audi application.
Meanwhile, Audi provides the “Audi Warranty” covering all Audi models sold through its official dealers for 5 years or up to a maximum mileage of 150,000 km (whichever comes first). Additionally, Audi offers the ‘Audi Car Service Plus’ program, which features scheduled inspections and replacement of consumable parts for a comprehensive vehicle maintenance experience. The ‘Audi Car Service Plus’ program ensures that essential replacement parts and services align with the manufacturer’s recommended vehicle inspection intervals, providing a more professional and systematic vehicle maintenance program available at Audi’s official service centers without additional costs.
The price of the ‘New Audi RS 6 Avant Performance’ is set at 175,500,000 KRW (including VAT).
