Lotte Rent-a-Car and the country’s first car-sharing service Green Car are launching special promotions for customers during the 2024 Lunar New Year holiday.
Lotte Rent-a-Car is offering a free 24-hour rental voucher for customers who rent a vehicle for 48 hours or more during the holiday period. This promotion runs from February 8 to February 12, including the holiday itself, and the free voucher will be automatically issued on March 8. Note that the free voucher is limited to one per person. More details can be found on the Lotte Rent-a-Car official website.
Green Car is providing early bird discount coupons for customers who pre-book their vehicles during the holiday period. The pre-booking period is until February 4.
Discount rates vary depending on the rental duration, with discounts of ▲60% for 1 Night 2 Days (30 hours or more, less than 48 hours) ▲70% for 2 Nights 3 Days (48-72 hours) ▲75% for 3 Nights 4 Days (72-96 hours). These coupons can be downloaded and used for reservations directly through the Green Car app.
If you are planning to rent a vehicle during this Lunar New Year, we recommend a 9-seater vehicle, which can save you both time and costs. If you have more than six passengers in a vehicle with more than nine seats, you can use the highway bus-only lane to save travel time. Renting one van instead of two private cars is also more cost-effective.
Lotte Rent-a-Car provides a delivery service that allows customers to rent and return cars at their desired location, as well as a smart key box service for contactless rental and return available 24/7. If unexpected situations arise, such as needing to add a driver or change the return time, the ‘In-Use Management Service’ allows customers to easily make changes anytime, anywhere through the Lotte Rent-a-Car website or app, enhancing convenience for vehicle use.
In September last year, Green Car launched a premium vehicle management service called ‘Clean Zone’. This service offers vehicle inspections, regular washing, and maintenance to provide customers with safe and comfortable travel experiences. Plans are in place to strengthen the Clean Zone service in major airports, train stations, and terminal areas where vehicle usage is high during the Lunar New Year holiday.
According to Lotte Rent-a-Car, reservations during the Lunar New Year holiday, the first long holiday of the year, are expected to increase by approximately 44% compared to the same period last year. Most preferred vehicle types are already reaching full booking capacity, leading to a planned increase in fleet size by 13% compared to last year.
