‘Lotus Chapman Bespoke’

Lotus has unveiled its customer personalization service, the ‘Lotus Chapman Bespoke’ program.

Named after Lotus founders Colin Chapman and Hazel Chapman, this program is divided into three services: Tailor Made, Collection, and One-off. Lotus customers using this program can create a ‘one-of-a-kind Lotus’ that exists only in the world.

The name ‘Lotus Chapman Bespoke’ originates from the idea of honoring Colin and Hazel Chapman, who started their business in London, England in 1948. Colin Chapman was a pioneering figure who developed various designs and innovative technologies seen in motorsport today. He became famous for forging new paths with his own style rather than adhering to standardized designs, and this rebellious spirit of Chapman has been passed down through the Lotus brand.

The specific services of the Lotus Chapman Bespoke program are as follows. The Tailor Made service allows customers to choose their unique combinations from various colors and designs, finished by skilled artisans. The Collection involves selecting from limited edition designs created in collaboration with luxury brands and artists. The One-off program allows customers to create their ‘one-of-a-kind Lotus’ in the way they desire.

Clive Chapman, son of Colin Chapman and director of Classic Team Lotus, explained the purpose of the service launch: “My parents’ dynamic nature has inspired innovative designs that allow drivers to truly enjoy their vehicles,” adding that “Lotus customers can now experience the joy of ‘creating their own innovations’ through Lotus Chapman Bespoke.”

This program is set to gradually launch in Asia, starting in China on April 25, focusing on key countries, including Korea.

Meanwhile, Kolon Mobility Group, which established Lotus Auto Korea after signing an official partnership agreement with Lotus last May, is the only official importer of Lotus in Korea and is responsible for its exclusive distribution. Additionally, Kolon Mobility Group, based on its long history and expertise in premium automotive distribution, is leading the comprehensive mobility business through restructuring and expansion, launching a new brand ‘702’ encompassing all mobility services.
