Hyundai AutoEver announced on the 28th that it has hired Ryu Seok-moon, previously with SOCAR, as the head of the software development and quality division.
Ryu Seok-moon, who will join in April, has been recognized as a leader who spearheaded comprehensive software engineering across all development divisions at SOCAR. He is credited with leading innovations in technology-driven mobility services. Additionally, he served as a development director at Riot Games, where he advanced platform development projects, and contributed to introducing new technologies and nurturing developers at companies like Naver and NHN Technology Services.
This new hire is expected to play an essential role in systematically and efficiently establishing Hyundai AutoEver’s service model in vehicle embedded software development and quality management.
In his books, such as ‘Living as a Programmer’ and ‘Thoughts of a Leader,’ Ryu has showcased a unique philosophy for fostering a culture of developer growth. He is anticipated to further enhance Hyundai AutoEver’s open and horizontal development culture, driving continuous innovation.
Ryu expressed, “It is an honor to be able to participate in developing globally competitive mobility services at Hyundai AutoEver, which has been leading technology in the vehicle software sector.” He also shared his ambition to contribute to service development that realizes customer value by fostering continuous growth for individuals and organizations.
Meanwhile, President Kim Yoon-gu stated during a shareholder meeting announcement on the 26th, “In 2024, Hyundai AutoEver will provide irreplaceable products and services based on the best technology.” He also emphasized the need to actively secure core talent and strengthen software technology and quality required for business competitiveness.
Hyundai AutoEver plans to actively recruit skilled technology experts from the market, starting with this new addition.
