On the 29th of last month, SK Telecom announced that approximately 170 employees, including President Yoo Young-sang, participated in an environmental cleanup volunteer activity at Seoul Forest, located in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, in celebration of their 40th anniversary.

This volunteer activity was conducted to express gratitude to the customers and society who have provided unwavering support and love to SK Telecom over the past 40 years, and to collaboratively create a clean resting environment for future generations.

President Yoo and the employees cleaned up fallen leaves, branches, and litter throughout the vast 150,000 pyeong (approximately 495,000 square meters) of Seoul Forest, reflecting on the significance of the 40th anniversary and their gratitude towards customers and society.

SK Telecom has been actively engaging in various ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) activities based on AI, taking the lead in solving social issues and enhancing South Korea’s AI capabilities.

This year, in line with their 40th anniversary, SK Telecom plans to continue its sincere contributions to customers and society through initiatives such as leveraging employee AI capabilities to support vulnerable groups, expanding their spare change donation program, and organizing blood donation drives.

President Yoo Young-sang stated, “SK Telecom has grown over the past 40 years thanks to the unwavering support and love of our customers. We will continue to implement various ESG activities to repay our customers and society.”
