Toyota Korea has announced the launch of the ‘Lexus and Toyota Care Program’ aimed at enhancing customer satisfaction by extending the warranty period for key engine and powertrain components for Lexus and Toyota brand vehicles during regular inspections, based on quality pride.

The newly introduced ‘Lexus and Toyota Care Program’ is for customers whose standard warranty period has expired. Those who have their Lexus or Toyota vehicles inspected at an official service center and find no issues will receive an additional warranty for one year or up to 20,000 km (whichever comes first) on key engine and powertrain components.

This program applies to vehicles sold by Toyota Korea. Even after the additional warranty period of one year or 20,000 km expires, if customers continue to have their vehicles inspected annually at an official Lexus or Toyota service center, they can maintain coverage for up to 10 years or 200,000 km (whichever comes first) from the vehicle’s purchase date.

Considering that the standard warranty periods for Lexus and Toyota vehicles are four years and three years (both within 100,000 km) respectively, if customers have their vehicles inspected annually and find no issues, the warranty period can extend by 2.5 to 3 times, providing peace of mind to customers. However, not all vehicles sold by Toyota Korea qualify for the Lexus and Toyota Care Program, as sports cars and electric vehicles are excluded.

To facilitate easy access to the Lexus and Toyota warranty programs, Toyota Korea provides notification services for warranty expiration through the customer apps ‘Lexus Lounge’ and ‘Yo! Toyota,’ which help customers check the conditions and regulations of the Lexus and Toyota Care Program and assist with regular inspections and program re-enrollment.
